Nothing to be too terrified of.” The witch replied, taking a short moment to look up from the writing, sentient plants she was caring for and that were talking to her. “It’ll be fair to assume that if for whatever reason, shite does hit the fan, you have one of the names with the most weight, so I’m sure you can use it. Not that you haven’t done it before.”

Getting in had been a challenge at first she’d tried the nice way, going through the front door. Some man named Tony Stark owned the building and she needed an appointment. She tried a few doors and finally just opened one by force. She hears alarms but pays them no mind heading to some stairs. She doesn’t know where the technology is but she has to find this man’s workshop. Everyone in theis New York City says he is an incredible scientist and superhero so if anyone can  help her get back to where she’s from she thinks it’s him.

She guesses floors busting doors down until she gives up and floats up to the top floor. Sure enough when she goes out this is exactly where she wants to be. She heads towards the labs. “Sorry to barge in like this but I-” She stops and holds a hand out to stop some security guard just knocking him down on his ass. “As I was saying I’m Jean Grey and I’m looking for a Tony Stark. I don’t mean any harm no one would let me in.”

It’s a common thing for parents to teach their children not to talk to strangers, but as sound as the advice is, it is just as common for kids to completely ignore their parents. From a young age, Ally loved talking to new people. It was part of the appeal in living somewhere with such a dense population--there was always a new story to hear, a new experience to have. So, when she saw a handsome man with purple features she had to go over and introduce herself.

He was nice enough. Zebediah, he said his name was, which wasn’t something you heard everyday. “I’m a mutant too,” she said after he seemed to shy away from a compliment on his features. “Trust me, it’s the cool thing to be different.” 

At one point in the conversation, he told her to show him her powers. So she did. Then he told her to fly. So she did. When she landed, he told her to find her father and bring him back with her, whatever it took to get him there. So she took off to go get Tony, texting him on her way.

When she got to Tony, she landed and walked right in per usual. The only difference he might notice was that her eyes were a dark shade of purple. “Hey, old man. You ready to go?”

Starter for @invncibleiron the boy band AU you literally never asked for. 

Performing was always a rush, and the time between coming off stage and her adrenaline falling was almost as good as the rush of actually being on stage. She pulled Tony into her side as Bucky shouted behind her, the kind of shout that Steve knew was letting out the sort of energy that had her on her toes, had her wanting to push Tony against the wall, kiss him senseless right there. Not here she reminded herself. 

Being in a boyband was not at all what she’d expected. To be fair she hadn’t expected to be anything but a boy when she’d auditioned. But here she was, the most open secret in all the music industry. Well that and the queerness that rolled off most of the band members while they sang about loving girls, only girls. Management had sat them all down when the rumors started, told them it was fine they were progressive enough to let them be queer, promising there would be no reprecussions for getting caught kissing boys but  not each other. It had made sense at first they didn’t want to ruin the dynamic of the group or whatever. But then there was Tony. The heartbreaker of the group. Steve wondered how many hearts would break if they knew who those songs Tony wrote were about. 

What Steve wanted to do was change into shorts, one of Tony’s too tight shirts and get some sleep wondering if Tony was gonna make it to bed or spend the night writing songs. They would spend a few days in LA after these next two stops, real beds, not the tour bus, beds that didn’t butt up against the beds of her bandmates, she couldn't wait for the privacy Tony might not sleep much but she was sure they could find other uses for a bed. Instead of changing into anything nearly as comfortable as shorts and Tony’s shirt she would have to change into a toned down version of her style or at least what had been assigned to her, so they could meet and take pictures with fans. Steve loved their fans, she really did but the adrenaline would be gone, and she wasn’t sure how much longer she could keep smiling. 

Pulling Tony closer to her side Steve looked around and grinned realizing there weren’t members of management around, security had thinned as well, and there was a tunnel leading- well she didn’t know but it didn’t matter. Giving one last look at the few people around, glaring at Bucky’s knowing grin, Steve pulled Tony left into hall, around a bend so that if anyone looked down they wouldn’t be seen. 

“What a fucking rush huh?” Steve asked half listening for the sound of footsteps following, to finally get caught.

“You know, Tony, a vacation might be good for you. When was the last time we took one? I’m pretty sure the answer is at the stress clinic, and I'm pretty sure that doesn't even count as a vacation.” Was Rumiko trying to be helpful? of course she was. Tony needed to learn to think of himself a little more than he did, which was why she was trying to encourage more time away from everything that his life was. Between Iron Man, and the company, and all the other things he was a part of, she had to try and take care of him. 

Maybe she... was trying too hard. But she really hoped that Tony would tell her if she was.

In times like these, Peggy wished that the world knew the truth about who she was. But back in the 90s it was decided that it would be better if she was presented to the media as the Jarvis’ adopted daughter. She and Tony then took not only the world but Stark Industries by storm. Peggy joined the board of the weapons manufacturer and took on the role of being the liaison between Stark Industries and the military. She helped secure contracts and she also made sure that everyone involved remained happy. 

Things were going extremely well. Peggy adored Happy, Pepper, and most of the team. Rhodey was a pleasure to work with and then there was the overwhelming presence of Howard’s old business partner. She really wished she could get rid of Obadiah Stane. She didn’t like him from the start and she was quite certain the feeling was mutual. 

That feeling grew when she had to deal with him on a regular basis during Tony’s absence. All of her instincts were going off and with no one willing to properly work with her, she reinstated into SHIELD, hoping to get either some information about Tony’s status or some help looking into Stane. She really didn’t get either because Director Fury had a few tests he wanted to run first. 

But that was all over now. Tony had created a suit of armor and escaped. Rhodey brought him home and instead of going to the hospital they went to Stark Industries and held a press conference announcing to the world that Stark Industries would no longer be building weapons. Peggy had to keep her facial expressions in check as she and Tony left the stage, leaving Stane to flounder a bit. 

Now they were home, just the two of them where she could be full on Aunt Peggy. Before they could get any further than the entrance way, Peggy pulled Tony in for a tight embrace. “I don’t know what I would have done if I had lost you.” She gave him a small squeeze before pulling back and placing a kiss to his forehead. “And while I’m proud of you for finally working towards what you’ve always wanted to do with the company, I really wish you would have gone to the hospital. Are you sure you’re alright?”

Stark had shown genuine fascination in wanting to learn more about magic; even if he was also skeptical about it even existing. It had been amusing to Loki, how Stark could deny magic existed in one breath, and yet badger him to see more of it. It was so rare that people acknowledged his gifts, rarer still that they considered those gifts useful. Stark was one of those rare few, and as Loki did like to show off, he’d been more than happy to visit Stark when he had enough free time, and wasn’t required at any meetings. If he was going to teach Stark magic, he wanted to have the man’s undivided attention.

Every bit the trickster he was, he started the day off by teleporting himself into Stark’s lab, partly because he could and partly because a small part of him had wanted to give Stark a little scare. Loki enjoyed being a scamp at times, it was what he was good at, and in this case, it did serve a purpose. He was well aware from his last visit to Stark’s home that the man had surveillance going 24/7 in his lab, so chances were; there would be some energy readings from the teleportation spell, which he knew Stark would go crazy for. The man had been desperate eager last time to get traces of his magic, so hopefully, Loki’s arrival had managed that.

As of yet, Loki’d not broken the oath he’d made Stark, to be on his best behavior; which included not shape-shifting into any of the Avengers for malicious purposes, or turning them into other things (be it object or animal), as well as not causing harm to any of the people Stark cared about. It made things a little dull, but contrary to belief, Loki did keep his oaths. Sure, he would betray people, but never if he had made a binding oath. That was the mistake most people made. He hoped his little appearing act wouldn’t fall under that oath, Stark had never specifically said he couldn’t show up out of nowhere, it was mainly just the ‘do not harm’ that Stark had been worried about.

He would never admit that he actually liked having one, especially as it gave him access to musicals that he could listen to whenever he wanted.  ❝ You ready to realize you were wrong about the universe? ❞

But inside, the gift is more subdued: art supplies--colored pencils and charcoals and paints and brushes and a few new sketchbooks--ontop of which is a pair of noise cancelling headphones for the night's incoming fireworks. A single post it was stuck on top, reading: you want to get out of here? -T

The box brought laughter to him in a way he hadn't expected. He'd seen plenty of the fan art out there, some of it being rather explicit and something he never wanted to see again. But this looked rather harmless and he had to wonder which of the team thought it was appropriate for his birthday. Or maybe it didn't matter. They had remembered and it was more than he could ask for. Opening up the box, he was surprised to see its contents. They all knew about his love of art and while he still struggled with it, Steve knew that this was a generous gift. But the headphones — only one or two of the team knew about how the fireworks put him on edge. And looking at the note, he can't help the smile. Of course it would be Tony and it made the gift even more special. Grabbing his phone, there was nothing more he wanted than to get as far away from the city and the noise as he could. He was just  curious what Tony had in mind.
