The mountains are calling me again and I can never ignore them

As you guys know I love to travel and adventure so it just made sense for me to get a truck. Last month I picked up this clean example of a 1987 Toyota pickup, 22R 5 speed 4x4 and it has been a blast. From the day I picked it up back in September I began to form a vision for what I wanted to do with it and I’d have to say it’s turning out exactly how I wanted. Picked up a roof basket for storage and a camper shell recently which I plan to convert into a camper complete with power, a bed, and adaquate storage for camping. I also installed some led light pods and a bar to help me see on trails in the early morning and night. Been doing some preventative maintenance as well just to keep it as reliable as possible. Haven’t started on the camper conversion just yet but I really wanted to take it on an adventure so last week me and a friend headed up to Mono county to do some off-roading and check out the fall colors and man was it a fun trip even if we stayed in a hotel. These photos were all taken there and I’ll be posting some more non truck related photos soon. Happy exploring.

Mount Whitney is the highest summit in the contiguous United States with an elevation of 14505 ft. It's 85 miles west of the lowest point in North America, Badwater Basin, Death Valley. I ventured here after my Death Valley road trip last year. Steep roads and ears popping the whole way.
