Shuten Order Final Chapter spoilers below but I want to just say something about a small moment with Teko.
I just want to talk about Teko and one of my favourite moments with him during the final discussion with him.
I love him checking with Rei to see if she's absolutely sure about revealing the Founder's gender. It really felt like him being a transgender ally there. Like Rei is the founder, but Teko is still respecting his friend's wishes because she currently has amnesia. I know the text says that Rei isn't trans (but definitely has gender stuff going on in my opinion, but I'm not trans myself so I can't comment much on a transgender experience) and was hiding her gender to appear more charismatic, but that scene really can be read as a trans allegory in my opinion.
He even hesitates when he reveals it! He's torn but he also wants to find the killer! It's honestly just a tiny moment but very sweet! This was a huge secret that not even Honoka knew and she had a massive network. He kept that secret for so long!
Sorry I just think it's sweet and love how gentle he is with Rei. I adore their friendship and think it's wonderfully written!
