Oh what a delicious Ionian.... I bet he has a fat coin purse!
Forgotten Memories
The Sovereign was thinking about it for weeks, the travel back to Navori her birthplace, many bad memories hunted her there from her past, yet a dream kept troubling her day after day, a sole tree standing where the old ghost willow stood, its visual similar to the old one, life surrounding the small white tree, a violet petal path leading her towards it, the feeling of peace reaching her soul and each time she wakes up before she has the chance to reach the end of the violet path.
A vision such as this had to have a meaning behind it, so in the end Syndra decided to take the way back to her home old Village in Navori, she began levitating the former fortress of Fae’lor towards it, the sovereign didn’t know how many years have passed since her imprisonment into that eternal slumber, but she had to find out the answer to her vision and none would stop her.
The Grand Fortress began shadowing the small village like a giant cloud, yet it stood high near the mountain tops that surrounded the area, the woman a little later began levitating herself down towards the nearby forest, a cloak hiding most of her form as she would follow the looks of a traveler to the village.
As she moved closer and closer her vision of what she remembered was surprised, most of the houses were gone, the life inside hidden by the wall of ancient routs that surround the area, two guards appeared to be standing at what seemed to be a wooden gate, they appeared to be Ionian, lightly armored with spears. A sudden Halt! As she moved closer. One of the two moving closer to her to check the mysterious traveler.
Syndra was not here to create Havoc but she would do so if they decided to stand in her way, Syndra began approaching the guard as she spoke, her hands reaching for the sky.
“I’m but a troubled traveler seeking refuge to your city for a day or two.”
The guard looked at her with a perplexed expression but did not lower his spear as he replied.
“ Then you most certainty are misguided here traveler there is nothing to find here, the village stands hard as it is this days we don’t need more people around here, unless of course you have something that might interest us that might make as turn a blind eye to your arrival…”
After the man spoke, he lowered his guard and with his free hand extended his palm, waiting for a reward, the area was secluded if a real traveler wanted aid he would have to oblige or to be lost inside the forest, and it was nearly night fall.
Syndra nodded and placed two gold pieces in the palm of the guard, and like wisely the man nodded and closed his palm signaling the other to open the gate and with a light sound the gate was open and the woman moved slowly inside the village.
Most of the houses were clearly left to the hands of nature their roots unattended for a long time, at this time, but that was one side of the village, the other had some life still in it, several buildings like a tavern, small houses a major house with a grand garden decorating, as she moved a burst of wind raised a violet petal reaching for her she reached for it and held it in her hand, she had to be on the right track.
A small path of violet petals led her towards the side of the forest she used to visit as a child, ancient stones carving a way towards the spot of the former ancient tree, this was a rather secluded area abandoned by the people of the village, nature was the ruler there.
But it didn’t take long for the sovereign to notice, noises around the trees, sounds of metal clanking from movement, the figures surround the woman as one finally appeared from its hiding place, this one clearly wasn’t an Ionian, his armor heavy as he carried a giant halberd, the colors of his armor red and black.
The Grunt broke the silence, his voice heavy.
“The guards were kind enough to inform us of the arrival of wealthy person to this village, we do not believe the whole act of you seeking shelter here and by coming here you seek something from here Ionian, do save us the trouble and speak of what it is, we’ve been in this lake for many days without any results our leader is getting inpatient and sees through your disguise mage! Fail to do so and I’ll break you till you speak.”
The man said and choose and offensive style to charge at the Sovereign, several locking noises sounded from the bushes, archers arming their ballistae to strike, and a presence unlike the lot, cold hidden inside the forest, she could feel it watching her every move.
The woman dropped down her disguise several dark orbs appearing beside her, the first bolts let loose towards her only to be deflected one after another from the spheres that surrounded her.
“ It will surely take more than that if you want to make an effort but I will have my fun by breaking you down playthings…” The woman spoke out a horrifying laugh following after echoing around the forest.
The Grunt launched himself towards her, a strike all that he needed to achieve his mission, a strike that he surely believed that he had in his mind, his halberd reached its mark or so he believed, a dark violet aura was surrounding the man as he was lifted upon the air screaming as his armor was beginning to bend inside, like a kitty held by the neck by its mother the only thing the man could do was to scream from the agony that was befallen upon him.
With a swift move of her wrist the woman sent the soldier flying towards a tree, the man smashing upon it, the force strong enough that cut the tree in half, he would no longer be a trouble.
But this hardly was the end, it was but a test from the mastermind behind this plot to see with who his was dealing with and now he was preparing his second strike, and the sovereign did await the outcome with thrill to see what this person had to challenge her.

“Long black hair and blue eyes?” She raises her clawed hand over her mouth, muttering under her breath. “The best combination. But I could never let him actually hear me say that. And he is quite talented...on the battlefield. I mean, saving my hide and all a couple of times.”
Veperine slowly shakes her head and smirks. “No, no. You didn’t hear me admit to any of that.”

“Have you ever tasted blood?” // not a threat, he's legit curious, with the blade and all :P
“...Not literally, no. While I will not attempt to explain all the intricacies my hemomancy, I will say that do not truly ‘consume’ the blood of those I slay... Rather, I simply store it within my blade.”
A Little Bird Told Me - ionianlightning
His path leads above petty dishonour, and his fate lies beyond an unremembered grave.
Those words, uttered to him by the spirit Zephyris, clung to Renzus as he approached the Ashikaga estate. As usual, neither of the creatures deigned to elaborate, instead leaving it to Renzus to solve the riddle. A swift check of his sources in the remote island realm, however, affirmed that Zephyris’ information was solid, so the First Crow made with all haste to Ionia.
In order as not to attract too much attention here in Ionia, he was clad in a simple garb worn by most travelers here, a dark-colored gi fastened by cloth banding. Granted it was not hard to tell that he was a mainlander from his skin, but the Crow robes would definitely be more conspicuous.
The guards at the estate, dutifully moved to bar his entry, hands swiftly descending to sheathed katanas. Renzus, on his part, raised his empty hands to indicate his peaceful intent, speaking in accented, but fluented Ionian.
“I am expected by Ashikaga Rai. A missive was delivered here to herald my arrival.”
