His Dark Materials S3

One accidentally fun thing about reading the His Dark Materials series is that the armored polar bears (who I found very cool) ended up reminding me a lot of Mobei-Jun. Like, yesssss, I love tangible nonhumanity!!! Iorek is a fantastical polar bear who is huge and deadly and comes from a culture of war and honor and eats someone’s body as a compliment in one of the later books??? And it’s incredibly gruesome but also weirdly touching??? THAT’S the kind of strangeness I crave from SVSSS demons.
