Traktor DJ 1.3 Brings Huge Leaps, But…
When we hear news that Traktor is releasing a new update to their software it is never a surprise. They are usually the ones who are first to come up with something creative that no other DVS would even attempt to do. From the ability to chain FX together, to the ability to broadcast your mixes directly from their software – there are more feature packed in the system that you could ever use at one time. Strangely enough, NI was not the first to think ahead when it came to OS changes. Traktor DJ was sort of the first of its kind (although not the first DVS on the iOS), yet they seem to be last to prepare for the lastest iOS update. As with any update, users are typically scrambling to get refresh themselves with the new changes, and software developers have to think hard in order to determine what will no longer work with their software. Algoriddim was quick to update their iPad software, but NI seems to have lagged behind. Ironically, their latest update was timed with the iOS 7 update, yet it refused to run on it.
