iOS GAMER, POST #1

When Epic Games and Chair Entertainment launched the first Infinity Blade back in December of 2010, they set a new standard for mobile gaming. A little over a year later, Apple's iOS devices are now respectfully recognized as competition in the portable gaming market by both Nintendo and Sony. There has been a couple dozen games released on Apple's App Store seeking to duplicate Infinity Blade's stunning graphics and innovating gaming experience but have fallen short.

Until now...

Camouflaj, a new independent gaming company, is entering the battlefield with their first title, République. Developed by the geniuses who helped create Metal Gear Solid, Halo, and F.E.A.R., République represents an alliance between Camouflaj and Logan to make what they call "an epic action game designed specifically for touch-based devices."

In the early stages of development, Camouflaj and Logan had the following goals:

• Design a game and write a story for touch-based devices

• Create an intense action game without a focus on killing

• Feature a believable, non-sexualized female lead

• Explore heavy topics, say something meaningful

• Push cutting-edge graphics on mobile

Ryan Payton of Camoufaj portrays République's theme as hope is alive and drawing influences from voyeurism, censorship, paranoia, and George Orwell's 1984.

"You receive a desperate phone call from Hope, a young woman trapped within a shadowy totalitarian state. Using a stolen phone, she calls and begs you to hack into the nation’s surveillance system, assume control, and help her escape from the clutches of the omnipresent Overseer."

Camouflaj and Logan promises a stealth-survival hybrid consisting of a four to six hour campaign with full voiceovers and real-time cinematics. However, the only way this amazing game can published is with YOUR help. By pledging $10 via Kickstarter, you are essentially pre-ordering République and helping the developers fund their project. DO NOT hesitate to help Camouflaj and Logan make République a reality, for they are under a deadline of May 11th. In approximately 20 days at 6:00 EDT, Camouflaj and Logan will no long able to accepted pledges or donations for République and... Well let's not think about that and just help out these developers create this epic adventure!
