I loved Iothera! Any plans for continuing it?
first of all, thank you for enjoying my work!
i guess the answer to do i have any plans for continuing it is. It's Complicated? iothera's story and characters are very special to me, and it feels wrong to just abandon them. at the same time, i was very, very burned out on comics as a medium, and also the bottom kind of fell out of the whole scene around webcomics-as-i-knew-them (e.g., the webtoonification of internet comics). so i've been thinking about other means of continuing the story, but i'm not really sure what that would look like
this is further complicated by. um. current events in the world of online content creation? like, if even the likes of itch.io are being forced to crack down by right-wing payment processors who have finagled their way into being the internet hays code/comics code authority/etc etc, things are getting dire. the internet is becoming pretty rapidly a more and more hostile environment for the kind of adult content that's an integral part of iothera. so sometimes i wonder if there's even room for something like that anywhere? although i don't know how much of that is just anxiety and despair and how much is a rational appraisal of the situation. so if you, dear readers of my tumblr, have any idea for the ideal venue for a story that's like half science fantasy worldbuilding and half trans girls fucking nasty, i'd love to hear it
so i guess like. i don't know. but i still post about the various art and writing i do at iothera.tumblr.com (and also on this tumblr, although there's much more nonsense reblogged in between), so if there's any movement on iothera proper or some related project, it'll be there
