I’ve been putting this off for so so longggg but finally I am doing this! Tagged by the lovely @ip-deok thank you so much I had fun looking back at the songs I loved the most last year~ it was super hard tho so I’m actually thinking of making playlists for the months so I can better remember!
BTS - Spring Day She’s beauty and she’s grace, she puts every other song in their place. Absolutely stunning. I’m listening to her a lot right now since it’s perfect for winter-> spring <3
Pentagon - Like This The lyrics really got to me and were delivered with stunning vocals and gave a melancholic feeling but also a sense of determination. Please check Pentagon out if you haven’t!
Sunmi - Gashina She really did that. I listened to this on repeat for hours at work and didn’t get bored! idk what else to say about this song since all of us love it!
EXO - What U Do? Seriously, the War was the first EXO album I really liked in a LONG time! So many good quality songs there and perfect for summer. When I listen to this I think of eating watermelon with loved ones at a park while watching the sunset after a day of summer shenanigans spent on bikes!
EXO - The Eve Sensual with an addicting beat and melody along with smooth vocals. I don’t know how anyone could dislike it, it is THAT good imo.
EXO - Sweet Lies Basically The Eve pt. 2 but with more emotional and melancholic lyrics which I fkn love. Perfectly relatable to all the times I tried to suppress all my issues in hopes of them disappearing if I just ignored them long enough.
BTS - Serendipity Jimin is not my bias but this is legit my favorite song on LY:H. So soft and gorgeous. Relatable lyrics and delivered by the vocal chords of an angel.
BTS - Dimple Second favorite song on the album! So soft. So good. Haven’t we all needed an anthem for when crushing on the sweetest looking girl ever?? idk I just love how despite the lyrics being very cute there’s still no reassurance that they’re actually dating? Therefore it is my girl-crush anthem of 2017 (even though we ALL KNOW this was written for Namjoon)
BTS - Mic Drop Hoseok killing us all in the first verse and then handing over whatever’s left of us to Yoongi with the iconic “Mic Mic Bungee”. The sassy hook and the glorious chorus. The ending with Jin and Tae telling the haters byeee. I can’t tell you how many times I ‘rapped’ this song to everyone’s great annoyance lol #rip @ bf
TWICE - Likey Such a fun and upbeat song!! Even if I could barely sing along thanks to not actually having a good voice and being used to lower pitched and more comfortable songs I still listened to this all the time while doing dishes. I really. really. wanna learn the chorus dance. ;-;
SZA - Prom Someone I anoned recced SZA’s album Ctrl (and I think everyone should go give it a listen if you haven’t because you’ve been missing out!!) and while I enjoyed the vibe of the songs and could listen through it mindlessly while getting ready, this song stood out to me. Again, because of the relatable nature of the lyrics.
BTS - Crystal Snow Spring Day’s official gf. I love her. Again, she’s perfect for this season so I’m still listening to her a LOT.
