Like I said, I did recently purchase a new iPad 5th Generation at Best Buy a few days ago. I did briefly look that evening for a case for it but did not find one at a good price. As a college student, I’m always looking for ways to save money and such, and I did not find one that was in my price range. (more…)

During this past Saturday, I purchased myself a new iPad 5th Generation at my local Best Buy. I ended up spending only $269.99 on it (before taxes) because like I have said before, smart people do not pay full price…at least when it comes to tech, clothes, and some groceries. In fact, I am writing this blog from said new iPad.I do plan to use this as a tax write-off for next year because this is partially for school since I do put textbooks on my iPad, use it to write notes in class, and occasionally use it for homework (depends on what I have to do). On top of that, I can use it blogging on here and TeamApple News and Toys.
It’s a very exciting time because I rarely get to buy new Apple products for myself and the fact that I could afford to buy one (because I work hard at my job and am loyal) makes it even more special.
I have not bought a case for it yet but I do plan to buy one before I go back to school next week. I originally wanted to buy an OtterBox Defender case for it, but I can’t justify spending $90 on a single case. I’m looking at something a little cheaper. As for what the case or brand will be, I have no idea. However, I’ll be doing some research in the meantime to make sure I am getting the best case for the best price. This is another example of how smart people don’t pay full price.

My New iPad is Here! During this past Saturday, I purchased myself a new iPad 5th Generation at my local Best Buy.
One of the things that I love to do at the beginning of the year after I get my taxes done is figure out what my next Apple product is going to be. This year, I have decided that my next Apple product is going to be a new iPad.
The reason for this is that I have not gotten myself a new iPad since 2015, which was my iPad Mini 2 that I currently use on a nearly daily basis.
But do I need a new iPad? Well, technically no one “needs” an iPad, it’s more so of a want. I want a new iPad since my current one’s operating system will likely not be supported for iOS 12 that will come out this fall and that I want a bigger screen, and an iPad with better specs that performs better and can do more. A bigger screen is also something that I want in a new iPad.
How do I use my iPad?
I use my iPad for social media usage, YouTube videos, streaming TV shows and movies on occasion, and the occasional blog post on here or on TeamApple News or TeamApple Toys.
Now, that may not seem like much and not a reason to spend a lot of money on a new tablet. But for me, it is very much worth it. I get plenty of usage out of my Apple products and they are always worth the money, not to mention that I use my iPad to keep me at least somewhat productive.
But David? You could use that money to give to charity or pay for college or textbooks!
Here’s the thing; College is always going to be expensive and so will textbooks. As for the charity part? Yeah, there will always be charities to donate to and I work hard for my money, so for me, I think that I have the right to buy myself what I want.
I do plan to buy it during my spring break. Hopefully by then, I will have my tax return check that I plan to use in order to buy this new iPad.
As of right now, I do not know what case I will get for it. I usually get an OtterBox Defender case on it, but since those are a little overpriced right now, I am looking to find an alternative.
I’m really excited to get this iPad since it does have a bigger screen, will have more storage, and that it is a new iPad for me! I also want to add that it will be my first iPad with Touch ID on it and that it will have Apple Pay available for me.
