iPad Magician Debuts Mind-Blowing iPad Selfie Trick On Ellen Show

Ellen DeGeneres recently invited German magician Simon Pierro to appear on her talk show — and it will amaze you what this man can do with just an iPad.

So, iPad magic tricks are a thing and they’re awesome. The iPad magician Simon Pierro performed stunning feats of iPad sorcery on the Ellen Show and even debuted a mind-blowing iPad selfie trick at the end that is just incredible. Ellen DeGeneres’ face kinda says it all in the video, it’s a mixture of amazement and oh my god what are you’re doing to that iPad.

During his segment, Pierro pulls all sorts of items out of the iPad’s screen, including apps and a collection of photos. He even steals a straw from his friend over FaceTime, uses that straw to drink his friend’s beverage, and then pours his own beverage on his friend’s head.

The German iPad magician started by swiping across his tablet but after a few swipes he apparently swiped too vigorously and swiped his screen off his device and into his hand. DeGeneres gives him a look like did you just break your iPad. But no, the iPad still works and there’s many more tricks to come.

Many of the iPad tricks involve things appearing on the screen that Pierro is able to pluck out and into the real world like a straw that he uses to “drink” coke through the screen and a pen he hands over to Ellen. At one point in the video, he’s FaceTiming with a friend in Germany and you half expect the friend to come crawling out of the screen like in the “Ring”. While that doesn’t happen, it’s still pretty mind-boggling how Pierro managed to pour milk over the guy through the screen without getting his iPad wet.

But the most impressive iPad magic trick comes at the end when Pierro snaps a selfie with some audience members and makes it magically appear in an instant. The iPad magician debuted this trick on Ellen because DeGeneres is the selfie queen. And we know it’s an illusion and all but wouldn’t it be awesome if Pierro came out with the technology that instantly prints out photos like that?
