The kid is adorable. Girl, smart as Felicity, cute as heck. Let’s call her Anna.
She’s not shy, so when she sees Oliver in the grocery store wearing a t-shirt with her mom’s favorite band, she starts talking to him, much to her mother’s exasperation. Oliver explains that he’s very tired (Felicity reads that as hungover) and that the shirt belongs to his friend, he doesn’t know the band. Anna takes this as a personal affront, so she huffs and puffs and demands Oliver listen to the band. He promises he will, smiles kindly at Felicity, and goes on his way.
The next time they see each other, Felicity and Anna are at the park. Oliver’s wearing a suit and he’s eating lunch and he’s polite, saying that he really liked the band. Anna’s happy, and she tells him about the concert that her mom will be going to, wouldn’t Oliver want to join her? Felicity gets flustered at that, blushes furiously, but Oliver’s eyes lit up and he says he’d love to. And that’s how Anna got them a date.
It’s a casual thing, burgers before the concert and Felicity yelling from the top of her lungs during her favorite songs, and Oliver drives her home and kisses her cheek.
The second date is at the zoo, with Anna who likes Oliver a lot. Felicity does too, and Oliver starts calling them my girls... Well. my other girls, cause I have a mom and a sister already.
Over the years, after Oliver and Felicity buy a house together, after they get married because it makes sense in terms of bank records and hospital next of kins, Anna only calls Oliver dad when she’s upset with him. It’s pretty hilarious, even when Anna is 25 and arguing about some movie.
