Ippatsu is a sweetheart, absolutely

He can be a bit shy but he does his best to be kind and not rush you

So he asks about going on a date, if you're interested. He's forward enough to ask if you'd like to get to know each other more

"So uh...listen, I know you might be busy and all, but I just made a new ramen recipe, and I want you to be my first customer. Haha, no, no captain, it's free of charge for ya! I just want you to relax, and we can have some nice fun."

He's pretty relaxed and laid-back, and you can't help but enjoy his pleasant outlook.

When you agree, he's all smiles.

"Hell yeah! Come on, I'll go whip you up a bowl!"

Really enjoys food as a comfort and food to him is his love language

Adores cooking for you (especially if it's ramen)

If you don't want ramen, he'll be a bit disappointed but he'll make you something else happily

Sometimes you'll wake up and there will be like a feast waiting and already prepared for you

While he cooks- it's not really "gourmet". He can make you meannnnn street food though. Honestly, he's not so into presentation like many others would be- he cares more for taste and the love put into it

And if you were to make him ramen, he'd adore it. If it doesn't taste good, no worries. He'd thank you for the food and ask if you wanted to cook together

Honestly- hubby qualities. You get home from a stressful day at work and he'll be all over you and cooking for you

Doesn't care how you look. Again, he's more about personality. He absolutely will shower you in compliments, but he doesn't think you need to doll or dress up just for his sake. You should do it for you

Loves lazy mornings and snuggling with you when you wake up. You're his favorite little plush rnekngjrengr

Loves feeding you food- and honestly, he'd love if you'd feed him too.

Very affectionate in public. Loves handholding and kissing your cheek. If you're not about that though, tell him and he'll stop! But if you do want it, oh boy, he will never let go of you!!

Translator Notes:

Ningen is always a bit of a tricky word to know exactly what to do with in Granblue Fantasy.  It technically means “human”, but is often used in Granblue Fantasy to refer to every normal type of humanoid entity - human, erune, draph, and harvin.  When spoken by primal beasts or dragons, “mortal” is often used by the official translation, but the case of this comic, the presence of Cassius and Joy, neither of whom are immortal, complicates matters.  I ultimately decided that just saying “screw it” and rendering it as “human” is close enough and reflects the main idea behind the usage of the word to readers without needing to worry about its exact implications.
