LOS ANGELES, CA - New Slant Productions' thriller MAGDALENA was accepted to The International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival in Brooklyn, NY.
The IPRHFF wishes to build an appreciation for the presence and contributions of Puerto Ricans on the island, in the United States and across the globe.
The IPRHFF works to acknowledge the Puerto Rican community’s place in the history of New York City as the first Spanish speaking group to migrate & settle here and who’s pioneering efforts made it possible for other Caribbean & Latin Americans to do the same.
The IPRHFF seeks to maintain and display the richness of Puerto Rican cultural traditions, creative expressions, and contributions to the welfare and growth of the United States, especially within the context of other Latino contributions.
The IPRHFF supports traditionally Puerto Rican neighborhoods by realizing events that revitalize their economies and strengthen and extend their connection to the greater New York City community and beyond.
The IPRHFF creates self awareness: we seek to assist artists connect to the larger Puerto Rican community and serve as a catalyst for development through the arts and culture.
