Their will and heart simply will not give into failure and their performance elevates to levels they don't even understand. In sports for me those people have been Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, David Ortiz, Paul Pierce, Tiger Woods, Steph Curry.. But when it comes to clutch, straight up killer instinct, Kobe might top them all. Amazing. 60 points in your final game?? Are you serious? and all while being amazingly clutch. Tell me again why I should boycott the oscars or spend energy complaining about the lack of diversity there is in millionaires & billionaires playgrounds. Show me why I should care if I ever get an award, that while extremely prestigious, means so little that a man who has waited 20 years to win one, decides to use it as a platform to speak about bigger issues. Show me why, in world where I have thousands of films and shows, from around the world, in every language, at my fingertips should I care more about how I am are being held back and secluded. And while holding some merit, really doesn't matter anymore. Show me why and I'll show you a mentality created by acts human segregation and prejudice that no longer hold merit or deserve our attention. It's happening people. we are working. Everywhere. Whether they like it or not. Nothing is immediate, and progress takes time, but look around; we are here. We have to be willing to continue paving the path for ourselves as well as those that come after us. I for one plan on paving along side all my brothers and sisters, of every color. Diversity inclusion is happening whether they like it or not. And yeah, many of them will never understand it, but fuck em, cause they gotta deal with it. We will not be denied. And if you feel I am talking about you in this post that's because I am. Your skin color has nothing to do with it. Because when I look in the mirror I don't see the color of my skin, I see a kid, with life long dreams about the journey, the art and the work. Not some golden trophy. We must focus on creating our own opportunities. Ones that are not limited to our trained social psyche but also highlights and uplifts our personal cultures. This film above was just the latest example in array of work I have both done and watched with people of all colors. I am just grateful to say that I know that one day when I look back I would have known that I followed my dreams, made them reality. That I am DOPE. #nohashtags

As hard critique and strong & passionate actor myself (meant with confidence not cockiness) over the years it has become increasingly difficult to astonish me with a performance. Eddie Redmayne has now done two years in row. Calling it now, he will go 2 for 2 in the oscars this year as he turns in another absolutely mind blowing performance. His understanding of human behavior and psyche while undergoing an astonishing physical transformation is truly the art of film acting in its highest form. Oh and Alicia Vikander, he counter will probably win too, she was unbelievable herself. What a story based on truth and a staple for the LGBT community. When I think back on my time in college and wonderful people and times I had there I can't help but smile. Some really awesome memories at an awesome school. But if I could share a moment of honesty here; they also arise a bittersweet taste. The cost of education is so high in our country it cripples many of our nations smartest youth from achieving many of their dreams, buying a home, starting family, owning a business in their 20s. Of course many of us are still making it happen but it shouldn't be this way. I would advise any young person who is unsure of what problem they would like address or solve in their career's work and would have to put themselves through school without any help, to invest in self-education first. Today's resources are endless. Once you have found what your calling and passion is then I say look into higher education, at the right program, with razor sharp focus. However I also believe the sooner you know what that is, the better. No sense in letting time fly without a direction in which to head. I hope one day be a strong advocate for this problem in our country.
