If you feature political content and/or pass charities around on your blog, I really sincerely urge you to vet them first, especially if you consider yourself a leftist.
Look up important information like who the parent organization is, and which organizations are partners. Look up where their money is going. Look up who is on the board of directors and what other organizational and company ties they have. It's not even that difficult to dig into, as nonprofits have to make this information public. However, in most cases you will have to follow a chain of organizations since that is the primary way these orgs obfuscate their paper trails.
This is an important skill for someone to learn especially if you are anti-imperialist.
