Six months ago, Henry's acquaintance-sort-of-friend was tragically killed in the line of duty. Since he'd died having saved Henry's life, the thief decides to use his skills to finish what Charles started. When he gets assigned a new partner, he's not exactly ready to be a team player. It feels too disingenuous.

But the thing about death is that the people we love never truly leave us...sometimes they can't.

Looking back I realize everyone is probably expecting a different turn to this story than what we’re going for. 

I forgot that since I hopped into a new fandom, no one is aware that I’m known for soft romance, fleshed-out characters, and bittersweet plots that sucker punch you in the last half.
