What a situation to be in. When he suddenly found himself dragged from his world into some unknown city, he expected to be subjected to some horrible experiment, or to be forced to partake in some twisted scheme.
But now, he found himself standing in front of some sort of festival game. People of all sorts of backgrounds and appearances, huddled in front of small ponds filled with goldfish. Quiet, calm conversation was all around the scene, as people tried their best to gently scoop a goldfish from the pond. He mostly stood in the background, merely taking in the scene. His eyes trailed an older and younger brother, walking off in celebration of their own catch.
...For a moment, he thought of Gailardia.
--Being that he had a fondness for fishing, he’d have been lying if he said he was completely uninterested in the game. But why should he indulge in something like this? It felt... wrong, simply put. As though his merely being here felt incorrect. There was a twinge of ‘hesitation’ in his stance, borne from something deeper and darker within his mind, that the average person might mistake for something else entirely.
He considered leaving, for a moment. His energies could go to something more productive...
