Looking up at the bulletin board, Ryou’s eye twitched slightly. The majority of jobs were either out of his experience, were ultra-specific, or were already full. No matter which one he chose it would be easier in comparison to working at the NAB, though probably with more questionable looks than anything else. It’d have to be somewhere close to the station since the only way to get back would be by train and honestly? He didn’t trust walking around that late with just Gale Blade as his special move. 

“Isn’t there anything good around here? I could probably find a Chim Chim in a treasure box easier than trying to find something here.” What a pain in the ass.

Kirishima sat on the floor of his room, sorting his tool box and adding some new supplies his father gave to him last night. Today was going to be a busy day, with red hues skimming the list of clients requesting his help. The first on his list was one of his regulars, Maya, who needed some repair work done on one of her ovens. She called this morning when half a batch of her chocolate chip cookies were burnt and the other half were partially raw. He suspected something was wrong with either the heating mechanism or temperature sensor, possibly even both, but he needed to inspect before coming to any conclusions. 

Once all of his supplies were sorted in his slightly rusted red box, Kirishima quickly threw on some old working clothes and started heading toward Maya’s bakery. It has been a few months since he had last been there, so he was excited to see her again and have one of her famous cinnamon rolls. It was a fairly short walk, so the redhead was able to be at location in less than 5 minutes.

With a smile on his face, Kirishima opened the door and greeted the woman behind the counter. ❝Hey, Maya! Long time no see!❞

You’d think that training with a total stranger would be one of the things to be majorly cautious about while being stuck in this place, but ironically that was the least harmful thing to do. And besides, its not like they were going all out special power bullcrap like out of a Tokusatsu (a particular situation that Riku did not want to be apart of again any time soon) and were only doing hand to hand. 

Though if one thing could be described by the strawberry blond at the moment was that her opponent was pretty good- that kick was going to bruise.

Akane didn’t hunch over when they sat. Their posture was always tight, firm, solid in place. They weren’t quite aware of how strange it could be perceived, after all it was just how they sat. Calling out to passerby staff as they sat had earned themselves an odd glance or two, luckily with Maya there was no such hesitations.

“Maya!” Akane beamed, swirling their chair around, “I heard you talking with Junpei about some mecha series. The, um, Steel Samurai? What exactly where you two talking about?”

They weren’t entirely sure if this was some sort of anime or a drama series- but it was a mecha, and mechas had been one of Akane’s favorite genres growing up. It’d been a while since they’d been in the entertainment loop but... well this could be a good chance to see if this was something worth tuning in to.

“ Hey, wait a second, you said steel samurai, right?! You know a steel samurai?! Hey, are you from a place called Wano? If you know I gotta get there really fast so tell me really fast if you know where it is! “

Shuichi Saihara was overthinking things. He was always overthinking things though, so he had in fact become quite used to the general anxiety that came with thinking too much. As he walked through a crowd of people, he tried to shut out the fact that they were all looking at him and focus on his thoughts instead.

Which is why he did not notice a particularly energetic young woman handing out fliers. Suddenly, the wind changed and a few of the fliers were blown out of her hands. One of them right into Shuichi Saihara’s face. 

He reached up slowly and pulled the piece of paper off his face. He looked to the woman, and without thinking walked to start picking up the fliers that had flown out of her hands. When he had collected enough he handed them back to her. “Umm... here. Hey, do you mind if I ask you some advice? How do you buy a present for a girl... You need money, right?” He tended to overthink everything, even the simplest of tasks.

He couldn’t help but notice the girl in front of him looked rather familiar. He could swear they met somewhere, but he didn’t know where. Maybe it was at his high school? No, that didn’t seem quite right... She wasn’t wearing a school uniform but traditional robes. She must’ve been from a temple.  He could swear he never saw her at Genkai’s temple either. If he did,he’d know considering Genkai has a rather harsh way of training her students. That, and her students were usually rather vocal.  Maybe it could be possible he met her in a crowd, or maybe even a dream. Though the two did correlate, since people you may see on the streets end up in your dreams with a ‘written’ personality. Either way it’d just be better to ask, wouldn’t it? “Have we met before?”

     HIS worst experience with an outbreak of the undead is a large town’s cemetery. That alone had been daunting. By the scanning the silhouettes swaying in the mist from the air, he’d wager there’s no limit to this wave. If it’s to be brought to an end, they’ll have to dig out the root of this plague and burn it.

Darting across the skyline like a comet, priorities can’t be ignore when there are dozens if not hundreds of capable fighters out there searching for the source of this. He needs to serve as wings to those who don’t have the luxury of being able to fly out of harm’s way. Keen eyes pick the human being out of the undead sea who had found a safe nook behind two cars parks heinously bad, keeping the uncoordinated attackers at a distance. It’s only a matter of time before they reach her, so he divebombs to snatch her into the air most unceremoniously. 

He’s got her under one arm to keep one arm free while he heads toward the mall (isn’t that where everyone goes in zombie movies?) not taking into account the Specters. He’s in no danger of possession himself.
