Hearing and seeing a lot of ‘2021 is already gearing up to be worse than 2020’ kinda comments. And yeah, this week has been long, and exhausting; the insurrection at the capital, while not surprising, was still shocking and horrifying.
But don’t forget.
Within the first week of January, 2020, the United States had Iranian general Qasem Soleimani killed in a targeted drone strike while in Iraq; Trump threatened to attack Iranian cultural sites; Iran promised revenge; and Iran suspended the Iran nuclear deal.
So yeah, this weeks been bad, but at least it’s we’re fucking ourselves over, and not other countries.
