i’m in awe of the giant lady
new big lady alert ;3; Iris Adaar!
Tell me 3 facts about Iris. 😊
So this took me awhile because I was trying to think of something I hadn’t told about her yet and I haven’t played through any of the dlcs and I only know some of what happens in Trespasser. I hope these work for you, anon!
Iris kept in touch with her mercenary band all throughout Inquisition and even invited them to join the Inquisition
Iris and Bull have their son, Kadan, during the time gap between Inquisition’s ending and Trespasser’s beginning
After Trespasser Iris is going to have two prosthetic limbs, she lost one arm to a dragon and the other to the events of Trespasser
I never thought that there would be a mod that would give me the ability to give Iris her scars. [Link]

Companions of a Feather
A Ficlet for inquisitivequnari feat. her Iris Adaar and my Bero Adaar.
Bero couldn’t explain it, but Iris had been particularly giddy this morning; he’d barely seen her at breakfast, as she’d hurried back off to her quarters after hastily grabbing some food. It wasn’t like her, but at least she seemed to be in a good mood. After finishing his own breakfast, he decided to go check on her.
He knocked on her door, waiting for a response. He heard an absent-minded, “Come in...”
Bero entered, and there was Iris apparently fussing over the top of her wardrobe. Bero was confused.
“Um... good morning, Iris?” Bero asked haltingly.
“OH! Bero! Come in!” Iris called, scarcely looking over her shoulder as her voice wavered with barely contained excitement. “I have someone for you to meet!”
“Someone?” Bero replied, more confused than ever.
“Remember that supposedly dead egg we found?” Iris asked as she whirled excitedly, nearly bouncing up and down. “IT HATCHED!”
“It hatched?” Bero clarified, inching towards her, slightly uneasy about what lay in wait on the wardrobe behind her.
“May I introduce you to Feathers,” Iris confirmed proudly, moving out of the way and beckoning to the small creature on her wardrobe, “my new baby griffon.”
Bero’s jaw dropped as he was drawn in closer. He got as close as he dared to the baby before Iris declared, “I’m going to go get him more food! He’s still hungry!” Iris then proceeded to hurry out.
Bero could almost swear that he and the griffon were making eye contact.
“You are a proud and noble creature,” Bero whispered to the baby. “You will be a force when you are grown, and I’m counting on you to keep her safe should I fall.”
The baby squawked gleefully, seemingly in reply to Bero’s words.
“Awwww, you’re connecting!” Iris squealed as she reentered the room. “I’m so proud of my boys!”
“I’m happy for you too, my dear.” Bero smiled back, scratching the griffon gently on the head.
thejbusition, thank you for helping again :)
When they arrived at the Storm Coast to meet with Iron Bull's contact Iris hadn't expected to see a saarebas. She stopped walking and started to shake. Her companions looked at her with concern.
Her first instinct was to go to Berothaam for comfort. She wrapped her arms around and clung to Berothaam. She felt his arms come around her. She also heard him growl. Iris wasn't sure who he was growling at, but she figured it was between Iron Bull and the Qunari they'd come to meet.
Iris felt safe in his arms, but still couldn't stop herself from shaking. She nuzzled her face into his chest in an attempt to get closer to him.
She heard Varric speak; "Stay here with her. We'll go talk to the Qunari."
It took a moment or two but eventually Iris felt Berothaam begin to stroke the back of her head. She had to admit that she liked it, but she did lift her head and wipe away some tears that had leaked.
"I'm sorry, but could I ask to stay like this a little longer?"
Berothaam gave her his best smile, though it was still fairly grim, and nodded.
Iris rested her head on his shoulder. "Thank you."
thejbusition, I hope this is okay and thank you for the help!
Iris walked around Skyhold with a tray of freshly baked cookies, and handing them out to the residents of Skyhold. She smiled as one by one her cookies were taken.
She spotted Berothaam as she entered the library. He was sitting alone and reading. She took a deep breath before she approached him. "Excuse me, Berothaam, would you like a cookie?"
He didn't look up from his book as he bluntly said; "No."
Iris was disappointed and hurt. She had hoped to better their relationship, but so far she hadn't made much, if any, progress.
She must have just stood there long enough for Berothaam to become concerned or annoyed because he looked up from his book. He looked at her apologetically. "Thank you," Iris broke from her thoughts, "but no."
Iris took a cookie and set it down on the table. "Here, just in case you change your mind." She looked at him for a brief moment before she headed off to continue passing out the rest of the cookies.
As she reached Fiona she saw Berothaam take a bite of the cookie she'd left him. He smiled as he swallowed and Iris felt a burst of happiness.
