Iris doesn’t really understand the point of nicknames.

Floyd calls Iris "Shrimpy", mostly because of her small size and how she'd hunch her shoulders while reading or drawing. She reminds him of the blue dream shrimp. Iris doesn't like it but doesn't say anything because it's Floyd.

Rook calls her "Chenille(caterpillar in French)". He often tells her to have courage to spread her beautitul wings and fly freely as she wishes to. She has no idea what he's talking about. She likes Rook so the nickname grows on her.

She is a bug in so many ways.
