my idea for a visualization of the risk and threat assessment modules! i've been wanting to design some feed elements since they're so integral to the series, and decided to start with these two similar (and pretty wonky) modules.

my interpretation of risk assessment is that it's more related to the success percentage of a plan/generally more long-term, while threat assessment is more about the likelihood of immediate danger. so i made risk assessment more of a "throughline" that tangles when risk increases, and threat assessment more like a soundwave/heartbeat monitor that spikes when threat increases.

plus a little comic showing off these modules spiking (featuring ART and Iris)

Humans babies are VERY good at mimicking those around them. In fact, one of the primary reasons raising-a-chimp-alongside-a-human experiments were stopped is because the human infant started to use the chimp's sounds and physical behaviors to communicate.

Which makes me wonder. What did Iris pick up from being raised alongside the Perihelion? When she gets frustrated, does she automatically and instinctually send gibberish code smashing into the feed? When she wants comfort from her dads, does she more naturally spam-ping them and want spam-pings back instead of seeking them out for a hug? Is she sensitive to feed speed in a way no other human's brain has developed to notice?

(Does Perihelion document every way in which it influenced its sister, every way in which its beloved human sister accesses bot patterns of thinking because she grew up loving it, and get super I-have-rail-guns-hurt-her-and-be-evaporated about it?)

(Do Seth and Martin, scientists and Good Dads, carefully document the way in which their kids communicate and try to modify their own methods of communication to match?)

anyways i'm not done system collapse yet but i've been obsessed with an idea for an au where murderbot met ART and its crew before its refurbishment/memory wipe

the angst potential for them meeting again and ART realizing murderbot doesn't remember it??? Hello?????

Also, they have to part ways after ravihyral, and when iris finds out that Peri had found murderbot and had just let it leave again, she is so so so so so pissed at it
