In group roleplay I'm in, we laugh that half of the Gryffindor pack is from the region, that have its own language, so they can scream at each other in it, not understanding anything what the other one said xd

I don't know if Mary knows welsh as well, but she's from Cardiff xd They didn't teach welsh in school in 60s if I remember correctly and it was less likely to know the language in some regions and Cardiff belongs to those regions
Remus also lives in Cardiff, but he's from small religious town (the one with the longest name, because it's funny xd)
