This is my @homestucksecretsanta gift for @irishbrat-est1998 Some cute davekat for you!! (A day late sorry about that)
Hey! Can I ask the name of the theme you use for your blog? It's super cute!! Also, I just stumbled across your blog while looking for prompts because I am suffering from severe writer's block and you completely saved my life, so thank you!
Here’s the theme!
Thank you for such a wonderful message! =D
so i've been following you guys for a while and i've been considering the possibility that i'm a borderline for even longer. i've read all of your FAQs and the checklist and basically all of the sources you've provided, as well as having done a bit of my own research. but i was wondering if i couldn't perhaps talk to someone from this blog one-on-one; through skype, kik, facebook, phone or whatever would be the most convenient for you. i think that would be the best way for someone to tell me(...)
(...)what they honestly think and maybe get to know me a bit more, and see if maybe there's something more. i get if that would be weird or if you just wouldnt be comfy with that and i shouldnt be selfish with your time or anything, i would just really like to have backup on what i think. and im completely aware that you arent a trained specialist or whatever, but you know a lot more about the subject than i do. any answer would be greatly appreciated, thanks for taking the time to read.
I don’t know how the other mods feel about doing this, but personally, I see that we have over 8,000 followers and fear if I open myself up to one-one-one conversation with one follower, I’ll have to do it for another 8,000 people. I’m already behind on answering the questions we get, and the thought of a queue of people wanting to speak to me one-on-one is even more overwhelming.
Also, I don’t feel comfortable diagnosing anyone, or even helping you diagnose yourself. It would be different if you were a close friend, and I could go over the checklist with you and point out which symptoms and behaviors I noticed in you as your friend. It would also be different if I was a professional who was trained to notice overlap in symptoms and trained to work with and understand strangers.
I really just don’t have the time to start a queue for talking one-on-one with people over Skype, etc. That sounds like... what an actual therapist would do, and I have no intentions of replacing professional help. x
