Actually I'm really tired of the take "Christians can watch anything/consume any media because we can find the Christian themes in it" or whatever. Because sometimes media is just bad. Yes, even media that isn't explicit or has actual demonic stuff can be bad. Sometimes shows have themes that are anti-Christian WITHOUT IT BEING OBVIOUSLY ANTI-CHRISTIAN. Everything has a worldview. Even "innocent" media like kids' books and shows are constantly pushing a worldview. The worldview might not necessarily be bad, but Christians out of all people should be checking the worldview of what they're consuming AND MAYBE MAKE THE CHOICE TO AVOID MEDIA THAT CONFLICTS WITH OUR CHRIST-CENTERED WORLDVIEW.
Just because you can find something good or true in a piece of media doesn't mean that it's not filling your mind and heart with things that aren't good. And like it or not, you will start to think about things in the mindset of the things you consume. If you're constantly watching things that have the worldview (for example) that "there's no such thing as sin and I should just accept every urge and flaw i have without needing to change" then it doesn't really matter that there's a great message in somewhere in there about sacrifice, you're still gonna start thinking that way.
So sometimes we need to make the choice to not watch/play/read whatever cool new thing is coming out. Sometimes we need to draw lines and say, "maybe a Christian shouldn't be watching this." And that's not legalistic or anything. That's just keeping your minds focused on things above, not things below. That's putting sanctification above self.

'Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." — Philippians 4:8
