okay im super put off by this ask bc this blog is... like i know i post other mc fandoms but it’s 90% Just yogs.........the url and icon are a reference to them...........

im absolutely not arguing the IRL yogs are problematic, but by scrolling thru this blog for more than a minute you can figure out i Only rly post abt the mc characters and not the irl ppl..i have said many times i don’t condem the shitty things they’ve done. i tag mentions of non mc stuff as #irl yogs, and ill go back and tag that post, but like....

it’s absolutely valid to be uncomfortable with them, but im politely gonna just suggest you unfollow me all together, because yogs mc is a huge comfort fandom for me, and even if you blacklist the tag on my blog it’s gonna be hard to avoid any mentions of them completely. thanks.

I’m new to yogs and saw ur post about Valleycat, what exactly was the controversy around her when she popped up?

I wouldn't really call it controversy, it's more just Steven being a weirdo.

She wasn't originally made by him, she was made by a popular artist from back in the day in 2014 (might've been Siins but I'm not 100% on that), mostly cause genderbends were really popular then. Steven reblogged that drawing of Ridge and Valleycat (Valley sitting in Ridge's lap) and called it hot and I guess decided he wanted to ship Ridge with a female counterpart of himself, how humble.

Now obviously there isn't anything inherently wrong or immoral with selfcest (other than the god awful name) but the way he spoke about Valley and got his girlfriend to cosplay her just made me uncomfortable. He also reblogged suggestive nude art of her I guess?? Onto his sfw blog that children followed (me included)
