Journal Pages 1-3

Are literally just filled with maths due to the logic puzzles. Sorry. I meant to type stuff in note form as I go along on PC and doodle/sketch some flora and fauna along with the notes I’ve written down and post those pages. I plan on doing this going forward (along with the maths, but right now there’s literally three pages of just maths as I just kept getting distress call after distress call). So My journal will most likely start on page four for this reason xD

Journal 2.0

I finally received the final pieces to my new journal.

get ready...

HERE IT IS:

The “V” is a little wobbly because I couldn’t get the letters to actually stick at first. I had to very very slowly hold down the edge of the letters as I peeled and V just decided to be wonky. Oh well!

Here’s the spine. The lettering was way too small to be printed like the letters on the front, so I just said to do them on a white background or something. Maybe I said black, I don’t remember. I think it turned out really well :3

New Journal / Journal Update 1/2

My decals are finally being produced (after about a month of limbo ;;) and they should be on their way next week. My first journal I posted got ruined. Somehow. Totally not by an unfortunate “Pfft I can make that!” accident resulting in way too much packing tape being used (read: any at all) and I did a panic-buy of a new journal off of amazon, just a simple Moleskine.

I got one of my decals already (it was a premade by some dood on etsy, PM me for the shop name if you want) so I put that on it. It’s got like three or so layers of vinyl so the white on top is easily peeled off. Be gentle with it. It’s meant for a mac so do what you will with that information. 

It’s the same size as my other one, but hardcover. I like it better already.

I’ve had this idea in my head since NMS was announced of what my lil spacelady would look like. We probably look like weird alien blobs in the actual game, so instead of being sad about being a space blob (not The Blob, mind you) I concocted what my little spacegirl would be like and drew her in the front cover:

I don’t have a name for her yet, and her pigtails stick out from her helmet like so:

And anyways this is what I’m going to be imagining myself as running around space.

My Blank Journal!

My journal came in the mail today!

It’s a “Pentalic Traveler” pocket journal, available here: on amazon

I’m getting some decals made via some lovely people on Etsy to decorate the front. I’ll post the pictures of it when it’s done as well, but here’s the highlights:

Front cover: It is a soft cover journal. The elastic sort of digs in slightly at the top of the cover, but it’ll just provide a genuine “wear and tear” look to it when I’m finished, so that’s OK. It doesn’t bend the book at all. 

Front of a page: I tore out one page form the back (it tore out pretty cleanly for not being perforated, which is interesting) and wrote on it with various things. In case you can’t read my awful handwriting, from top to bottom: ball point pen (not ink.. idk what I was thinking sorry), mechanical pencil, sharpie (a regular sharpie), and drawing pen (like my sakura pigma micron). 

Back of the page: The back of the same page. As you can see, the sharpie writing and the blotting bleeds through pretty profusely. I wouldn’t use a sharpie on these pages at all. The drawing pen works best if you want a nice solid black line instead!

Page bonus: The pages are very smooth, but have a tiny bit of texture to them. For me, this is perfect because drawing on it feels good just as much as writing with a pen. 

Back folder: There’s a nice foldout pocket in the back of the journal. Handy!
