All of the following starter sentences are from the book The Forges of Dawn. Had some pretty interesting and potent dialogue in it, so I whipped this up on a whim~! Enjoy and don’t forget to reblog! Feel free to change pronouns or do whatever needs doing to make use of these!
“Wanted or not, it is so.”
“You have to leave. When they learn we are not where they expect, they will come back this way.”
“Unexpected – didn’t figure you for the martyr type.”
“Do this – for me. As my last wish and command to you: leave me.”
“I don’t even like the guy, which is plainly obvious to anyone with eyes!”
“But what if I don’t want to do what is expected of me?”
“Well. Guess it’s safe enough to explore, huh?”
“Please, sire – I have worked tirelessly and ceaselessly to correct the mistake!”
“You are lying to cover up your failure, and I do not like being lied to.”
“No! No! Please! Not that!”
“I’d rather stay out here and have my leg rot off than go back to live with someone who lies to and deliberately misleads me.”
“Don’t try the ‘I am the only authority here’ game with me. We’re supposed to be equals, for all that I usually do defer to you.”
“It’s amazing… you get on her case for being stubborn and willful and never once see that she gets it directly from you.”
“I suppose you would know evil, wouldn’t you? Of course, you fail to see it where it is most prevalent – in yourself.”
“I believe he will be most pleased to see you again, in particular. Yes… most pleased indeed.”
“They are captured, and there is nothing we could have done to change that. All we could have done is ended up with them.”
“Then you’ll die, too, and what good does that do? Go home. Grieve their loss. Mourn. But go home, before it’s too late for you, too.”
“Hold, outsider. You are under arrest for trespass. Do not resist.”
“Your kind’s stupidity justifies their extermination. Pathetic weaklings.”
“Someone with such spirit as to dare strike her betters would be most fun to… break… of such habits.”
“The guards took them away, one by one, and none have returned. I fear I am next, or maybe you.”
“Then why bother telling me any of this, if it won’t help?”
“Enjoy your amusement while you can, rat. Soon enough we will wipe that grin off of your face and replace it with something more appropriate.”
“Look upon our technological prowess! See how we have so surpassed your feeble little abilities! See why we are so much more worthy to live than your useless spawn!”
“Hardly anyone sees the beauty of them but me, but I can see that you are a rare breed indeed, to see what I see.”
“You will address me properly, with the right sense of obedience, or you will feel my displeasure.”
“I will teach you to fear and obey me. Without question. Without hesitation.”
“Look, you can run fast. I’ve seen it. Since you can go faster than me, it’s only sense that I ride on your back.”
“I DON’T WANT HER DEAD, YOU IDIOT!”
“I will find you, no matter how much blood I have to spill or how many bodies I have to cut through to get at you! I will find you and you will suffer! Do you hear me?!”
“Just wanted you to know I’m grateful for you. Just wanted you to know.”

“I will enjoy teaching you what happens to those who disregard my commands, and when I am through, you will be lucky to still have any of your mind left.”
