Despite the still apparent drowsiness from my anemia, I still gotta thank you, science, for creating iron supplements. I haven't had fainting spells in over a month now and haven't needed to go to the hospital yet so you must be workin'!
So, feeling as though you can't breathe and feeling out of breath/winded from walking around, when you're anemic, is due to low ferratin levels. I just learned this.. and my ferratin levels are 1.
So it makes sense why I was so out of breath, also, my lung damage makes it hard for me to breath at the rate of other people and keep enough oxygen flowing through my body like other people, so it's really a terrible combination.
