Tony and Stephen in imminent death risk being saved by their cute loyal friends

This idea came to me a few days ago, but i thiink it fits into the #IronstrangeWeek2018 Day 3: Tony’s bots | The cloak of levitation @ironstrangehq

Have You Ever Imagine...

Stephen met Tony when they were much younger and Tony still in his rebellion stage.

When Tony still lost himself in alcohol and cigarettes.

 When Tony thought he just useless son of Howard Stark.

When Tony felt vulnerable and left behind because he couldn’t fit in.

When Tony really needs someone who could fix him and accepted him with all of his darkest side.

When Tony almost lost his heart and believed no one would ever love him...

Stephen were there.

Helped him. Kissed him. Hugged him...

and loved him.

Told him he would give everything for Tony.

Made him laughed, made him feel important.

Made him the happiest man on earth.

Stephen would heal and fix him

Well, maybe... maybe they wouldn’t be like they are today.  we wouldn’t have Iron Man or Doctor Strange, but at least... 

we would have a couple who love each other in their entire life and never let each other hand go.

Iron Strange Week May 2018 - Day 5 - Healing/Hurting

ironstrange - first contact

The first time Stephen saw Tony Stark was on television. He’d declared he was Iron man, but Stephen didn’t care much for anything outside of medicine at the time.

The first time he met Tony Stark he didn’t know what to make of him. Arrogant? No. Egoist? Nope. Narcissist? Hardly. But he was handsome. And it registered with Stephen that that was not something he should be noticing. But the world was ending and there wasn’t any time for Stephen to dwell on the thought.

The first time Tony Stark asked for his opnion was on a flying donut. Stark suggested they go to Thanos. Stephen was shocked at first, but Tony’s reasoning was sound. And he had to agree. But he couldn’t promise to protect Stark or the kid. Even if Tony Stark’s proximity did things that made Stephen want to pull the smaller man closer.

The first time Tony died for him Stephen felt involuntary tears well up in his eyes. And Tony died. Again and again and again. And at some point all Stephen could do was scream in desperation. And every time Tony, something died inside Stephen too. And every time Tony died they lost.

The only time Tony lived they lost too. NO. No. They won. They won. 

And then Tony died again a million times. And Stephen died a million times. And they lost a million times.

And when Tony caught Stephen and told him he was alright Stephen wanted to hold onto Tony forever. But he let go. And he told them the odds. And he made sure to lead them into the only reality where they won.

The second time Tony caught Stephen was after they’d been freed from the soul stone. And when Stephen stumbled into existence he felt himself crash into a warm body and strong arms gripped him around the waist to support him. He looked up directly into Tony’s eyes. They were both crying. Stephen pulled Tony into a hug. They were both alive.

The first time Stephen got to have a casual conversation with Tony was at the party celebrating the fixed universe. They sat at a hidden table. They talked about everything and nothing at all. And at some point in the evening - when they were both slightly tipsy from a few glasses of wine - Tony’s hand snuck closer to Stephen’s and he started tracing Stephen’s scars. The touch was light as a feather. Barely there and it made Stephen shiver nonetheless. But they didn’t mention it and the conversation continued without them acknowleding it.

The first time Tony declared they were friends was when they were getting starbucks after a long mission. Just the two of them - something normal by now.

The first time Stephen felt like a gaze from Tony could melt him was when he was helping Peter with his biology homework. When he caught Tony’s gaze and he was looking at him as though Stephen was something to eat and Stephen couldn’t tear his gaze away for what felt like ages.

The first time Tony kissed him they were watching movies on Tony’s couch. They’d both had a couple of glasses of wine and they were laughing at something a character on screen had done. Tony looked at Stephen with one of the softest looks he’d ever given the sorcerer and Stephen’s heart squeezed, his gaze locking with Tony’s. And Tony silently leaned closer and pressed a gentle kiss against Stephen’s lips. When Tony pulled away Stephen clutched at his shirt and pulled him back for another kiss. And another. And another. Until Tony ended up on his lap and they were kissing like they haven’t kissed in millenia. After what felt like ages they pulled apart to gasp for air. “Finally.” He heard Tony say and Stephen couldn’t help but kiss his nose, making the smaller man chuckle.

It was also the first time Stephen Strange realised he was in love with Tony Stark.
