I like my ships where they just piss each other off while one is held "captive"
Confession #646

stupid rwby headcanon time
I think that the pre canon ironwatts divorce still happened, in every no Salem AU. They are divorced in every universe. They will always find each other. to get another divorce.
Ironwatts is died because no one was appreciating toxic old man yaoi
RWBY X JUSTICE LEAGUE SPOILER ALERT
Ok so I just watched the RWBY x Justice League movies last night and I'm like 99% sure that Arthur Watts didn't just upload his own mind to the cyber network as he was dying but also Ironwood's? The new Watts form seems to be a combination of both characters sharing one body.
Evidence:
•The new Watts has a very different voice, despite the same actor voicing him as in the show, Christopher Sabat. Instead of that posh slightly nasally British accent, we instead get a much deeper, authoritative voice with only bits of British accent mixed in at times. It sounds like both of their voices combined. The fact that it's the same voice actor meant he deliberately went out of his way to sound different for this iteration of Watts.
•Aside from just the voice, the new Watts is like a complete physical combination of his old self and Ironwood. His jawline and face shape is now much broader, he has Ironwood's scraggly beard, and his 'body' is much more muscular and large.
•The new body/costume is reminiscent of some of Ironwood's clothing designs like the bolts serving as buttons. Even his weaponry has changed to combine his signature gun with Ironwood's dual-wielding holsters. He now has two guns in, you guessed it, dual-wielding hip holsters.
Ex:
Christopher Sabat, who plays the changing voices of Arthur Watts in both the show and the movies.
Watts' signature gun.
Various physical changes and similarities that combined the two character designs, keeping Watts' general color scheme, eye and skin color while adding new Ironwood-inspired elements such as a square face shape. Add to the fact that they already had the same eyebrow shape, nose shape and hair color before (even down to the white side-stripes) and the effect is almost eerie.
Conclusion? I'm not saying that they're drift compatible and now share a body, but they're drift compatible and now share a body. They are the physical manifestation of IronWatts.
Watts x Ironwood ship bingo?
