tbh the posts that are like ‘ugh the posts that tell you to use *insert list of synonyms* instead of this boring simple word are bad’ annoy me a lot

because yes each synonym has different nuances to their meanings and you can’t stick one in at random but like... that’s the point? use synonyms wisely and recognize when using ‘said’ is better than ‘declared’ and when it’s not

another random thought of mine

when my family went to norway we visited the town our descendants came from

and literally everyone there was blond and looked exactly the same

so why is it not ok for the family in frozen, that takes place in norway or a place similar to norway, to all look the same

(sorry, extremely random thought warning) if you want to look at prejudice against females in STEM fields you're going to have to look back all the way to early childhood when the baby chairs for boys have numbers on them and the ones for girls have flowers, and most of the main characters of kid tv educational shows that are focused on science and math are guys (and ones focused on literacy are girls)

tbh my favorite part of the scioly invitational my team went to today was accidentally convincing three of the oldest guys on the team to carry my mission possible device to the bus for me (and somehow it took all three), even though I was able to carry it down two hallways and a flight of stairs by myself
