WIP Intro: The Irregulars

Title: The Irregulars (Book One)

Genre: Urban fantasy, young adult, LGBTQ+

Tropes: Found family

Summary: Arya Etheridge’s life has been going swimmingly well. Her senior year of high school is coming up fast, and she already has her eyes set on a college with a plan of what to study. She’s even pretty sure her patron deity has come forward, and that it’s Apollo!?!! (Yes, she’s wicca.)

However, among all of these great things, there have been nightmares of battlefields plaguing her nights. Eventually, she’s advised by her therapist to meditate on said dreams, to face them head on… What happens is most certainly not what she’d expected…

This last line comes from my WIP Irregulars! I’ll be adding my WIP’s taglist under the cut!

I turn away from my ex’s grimy face in the driveway and to my coworker, the shift lead of the day, and say what’s probably the only thing that’s made her look away from her phone all day. 

“You handle this one. I can’t.” 

I don’t wait for a response, I just grab for the nearby broom and head out into the lobby. I’d much rather be dealing with other people’s messes than having to face my own.
