I can’t sleep in this house because, even though it’s my lone night off, fucking stupid ass roommates think it’s like so cute to make the dog howl. Full disclosure and I know it’s tantamount to a sin on tumblr, but they’re really making a case towards making me fucking hate dogs. Or at least beagles. Or at least, roommates that can’t understand that getting off a midnight shift means I need to sleep. Or explain why in the FUCK they actually LIKE making the dog howl. It’s not cute. It’s not precious. It’s fucking bone jarringly annoying and loud, and I’v’e had to live with it escalating despite my politely saying “hey, why do yall do that?” for three years.

Since I couldn’t sleep I did finish Luke Cage, though, and that series is my new favorite Marvel Netflix thing. Except the last episode. It didn’t. Fuck I can’t’ spoil.
I need someone with a moderately quiet and non insane house to let me come over and lay in their bed and nap because two hours isn’t going to work.
From obits to statues to traffic circles, whither the women?
The obits area just a symptom of bigger problems with institutional sexism and androcentric norms. Women do a whole lot and die. We just don’t want to tell anyone about it. In any publicly recognizable way. Check out the stats on statues, currency, stamps, streets, school names. What we count as "notable," "significant," and "newsworthy," matters.
