Hogator! I'm sorry for not keeping an eye on you! - Pokemon (2023) - Episode 42
I AM HERE!!
Here they are- Finizen, Zero Form Palafin, and Hero Form Palafin!
Ah, I got inspired by both MHA and MAWSM for the designs- Zero Form Palafin looks like an absolute himbo.
Anyways, I’m gonna do the Cinderace Line next, so stay tuned for that! A young soccer trainee makes his way to the big leagues!
Palafin - Hero Form
Palafin Nicknames:
WaveRider / Splashdown (This nickname brings to mind superheroes, like the Silver Surfer. Both nicknames sound tough and are suitable for a water-themed pokemon like Palafin.)
Poseidon (A staple nickname that is inspred after the Greek god of the sea. This nickname has a heroic and mystical vibe to it.)
Flippa (It's a play on the word 'flipper', and it sounds like a fun name for a playful, aquatic pokemon.)
Heroics / HydroHero / Aquaknight / Aqua Hero (The second nickname is a combination of the words 'hydro' and 'hero'; they emphasize Palafin's heroic nature, attributes, as well as its motif. The latter nicknames are inspired by "aquatic knights", they sound heroic and are a suitable match as they are linked to the theme of water.)
Playmate / Splashy / Bubbles (Simple and playful; the first two nicknames highlights Palafin's water-type, as well as its playful nature. Dolphins are known to create and play with bubbles, and it is a fun, light-hearted nickname.)
Palafin - Hero Facts:
This Pokémon changes its appearance if it hears its allies calling for help. Palafin will never show anybody its moment of transformation.
This Pokémon’s ancient genes have awakened. It is now so extraordinarily strong that it can easily lift a cruise ship with one fin.
This hero of the ocean swims at a speed of 50 knots and saves drowning people and Pokémon.

With Liko catching Charcadet bumping her team to four, I'm seeing people online having high hopes she actually will have a full team. One Pokemon I see people suggesting would be the Palafin from Arc 2 given Charcadet opened the doors for past Pokemon they befriended returning. Palafin imo feels like it parallels Liko herself: Looking and acting peaceful and docile, but deep down has a heroic heart like what Charcadet saw in her. Plus it'd give her a Grass/Fire/Water trio. What do you think?
Hmm, I'm not sure if that one will happen but I'm definitely down for it. She's the only one Palafin trusted to see it transform with her own eyes, and she is someone whose true strength shines when she fights for others, so it works really well.
In general, ever since that episode, I've actually been a huge fan of the idea of Liko one day donning a superhero alter ego, and it's been a big headcanon of mine since. She has a compassionate heart, and since Palafin trusted her to see its transformation (which it usually refuses to let anyone see), the setup is there.
Especially since that episode revealed Ludlow has a secret superhero identity as Mighty G, but it's clear his old age is getting to him and he can't sustain it for long now, meaning he doesn't have much time left. Liko becoming in a way his successor and donning her own superhero identity would fit her quite nicely, especially since her outward personality is, as you said, relatively docile and peaceful, but she hides a ferocity and intensity that shines when she fights for others, which lends well to a superhero alter ego, since most of that sort are relatively unassuming in their civilian identities (which Liko is).
Palafin would work well for that, but Meowscarada works just as well for a superhero alter ego. Ever since she was a Floragato, her fighting style has had a really Spider-Man like essence with her vine swinging, agility, and Acrobatics as a parkour technique, not to mention Magical Leaf, and it's continued with Meowscarada, and Meowscarada has this theatrical vibe with her mask face, not to mention Magical Leaf and Flower Trick as powers and the invisible strings both as swinging and as a means to tie enemies up. Liko and Sprigatito from the beginning have had an affinity for rooftops and Liko is good at jumping from roof to roof too, so she's got what it takes. And Palafin would add an extra element.
So yeah, I'd be down for it and it works for her well. And I'd love for it to be taken further and have superhero Liko be a thing, having her take on such a guise as part of the new generation, especially since old man Ludlow is reaching his limit now and Mighty G doesn't have much longer to go.
So I got a new OC. but he's a pokemon gijinka I decided to turn into a DR OC
This is Mizuto Kinshou! He prefers not to say his talent, which is a little suspicious, but honestly it's understandable. He insists he's a rather basic guy who doesn't do anything to stand out against the crowd. He's a mild mannered and gentle person, but the one thing that stands out about him besides his grandiose stature is his unwavering sense of justice.
but you may ask, what is this talent of his that he's so intent on keeping a secret? Well, he leads a double life- he's a dignified young man and swimming instructor by day, and by night he becomes..
IRUKAMAAAAAN!
Irukaman is Mizuto's secret identity as the Ultimate Masked Vigilante, think of a poor man's Batman. Irukaman is boisterous, prideful, but he's just as noble as Mizuto (perhaps even moreso!). Even if he saves people on the regular, the police don't exactly favor his help and are intent on finding out his true identity.
