After the Rising Volt Tacklers reunited and started their adventures again, you weren't there yet.
Wether you disappeared in Laqua like Friede, or you just...never came into contact with anyone again after they disbanded.
But don't think this is a problem.
They are looking for you anyway
If Friede is alive, why wouldn't you be?
When you meet them again, they are so happy.
You're here! You're really here!
And you are happy too, to be able to fly with them again, with your dear friends and pokémon.
But it doesn't take long until the problems start.
The first problem is called...Roy
Since the boy became the commander, he's changed a lot. In both his maturity and the way he treats you.
The boy that once followed you around, asking for a battle, now was extremely protective over you.
Awfully worried about if you were safe.
Don't think you will be able to go to any dangerous places, or help against the Explorers.
He will stop you the SECOND you step out of the airship.
“[Reader]! Please, stay here...you're safe if you don't come with us this time!”
And you can't exactly deny it, Skeledirge, Kilowattrel, Lucario, and even Captain Pikachu seem ready to force you to stay if necessary.
He won't let you get hurt!
If you somehow do get hurt...this person will pay for it.
He'll solve this personally with a battle, it's the thing he's the best at doing, after all.
Weirdly, you don't see the person who hurt you ever again...
Other times, he seems more vunerable.
So tired of taking this role, he comes to you to just...stay next to you, taking a rest and pretending that he is still that little boy.
It's the few moments that things seem normal again.
“I'm sorry, it's- it's just...i really don't want to lose anyone again. To lose this crew again.”
You try to understand his side. He's just a kid that was forced to grow up fast. It's normal for him to be worried.
Well, situation gets weird when you notice this behavior on Liko too.
She is much less protective, but she seems to always be around you. Looking for you, wanting to know and understand how are you feeling...
Basically, her empaty just became invasive.
She treats you like you went trough a big trauma and will break down at any moment.
“Are you okay, [Reader]? I'm just checking on you. ...What do you mean this is the tenth time i've checked?”
She is not one to protect you by battle.
She usually just lets Hatterenne nearby you to make sure you're okay and safe.
But if the situation is too drastic, Meowscarada and Armarouge are ready to fight at her command.
“You seem really tired...what's up with you? Can i do something to help?”
...And there's Dot.
If you already felt overprotected and invaded, she makes it worse.
As a hacker, she often uses her abilities for good reasons.
But people have many different perceptions of what is good, no?
You feel weirdly watched like you've never felt.
You don't remember the airship having cameras all around, and there really don't seem to be.
Little do you know, the reason is your Rotom phone.
She hacked it and was able to invade the system. Being able to see all that you do in it, and see you trough your camera.
Any "suspicious" messages from other friends "threats" are deleted immediately.
And if you send anything that "worries" her and the others, this will need to be talked about.
“[Reader] can we talk real quick? I've...heard you sent someone a message about feeling 'suffocated'.”
It is not a real quick conversation, but it's chill at least.
At the first time you do believe she really "overheard" it from someone else. But when it happens every time you tell it to someone, it gets weird.
More numbers and messages get deleted from your phone, this is getting annoying.
“Oh, your contacts are being deleted by themselves? How weird, no? Maybe it's some sabotage from the explorers. S-some of mine disappeared too...” As she deletes some of her contacts on purpose.
Even that new guy, Ult or whatever...seems to have gotten quickly attatched to you.
You have a feeling it's just his rivarly with Roy again. That he just clings to you to try and make Roy jealous.
It's honestly stupid, but you don't mind, he won't let go of your arm or get out of your sight anyway.
He is always bragging and trying to get your attention with his “amazing” battle skills.
His Sableye always makes sure you look at Ult as he talks.
“Hey, [reader]! Ain't i the mega best of this ship?! Even better than Roy!”
But he does have a vunerable side too. Very much tolerable, you could say.
He just...doesn't want to be left alone again. By none of the people that he admires so much:
Roy and you...
So please, look at him, won't you? Please don't avoid your gaze, DON'T LOOK AWAY!
“Hey! What are you looking at? I am right here! Look at me!”
The children aren't the only changed ones. The adults have changed with you too.
Mollie seems to check up on you and your pokémon more frequently.
At least once a day, when it usually was once a week or when you needed it.
Her Chansey has been giving you lots of eggs that you don't even need.
Maybe it has sensed your worry over what's up with everyone.
When you ask Mollie about it, she tilts her head.
“I don't know, Chansey was supposed to do this with hurt pokémon or people. Is there anything you aren't telling me?”
Even when you say it's nothing, it's clear she doesn't buy it.
You better be there for check-up everyday if you don't want her to drag you to the infirmary even with your protests.
No matter how much you shout that you are okay, she doesn't listen.
If you do it often, she might think you've acquired some fear of doctors.
It's okay, some childhood fears follow us as we grow up.
But that doesn't mean she will stop.
“Please, just tell me what's wrong.”
And the other member of the overcarers...Murdock.
Maybe he just feels bad as hell for being the one to have the idea of disbanding the crew. Even though you say you are not mad at him, and that it was everyone's decision.
So he is trying to compensate, or so you believe.
The chef is oftenly letting plates with your favourite foods at your bed, so you have a nice surprise when you come back after a tiring day.
You better eat it all, or there will be...consequences.
That includes this man making EVEN MORE of the food and BEGGING for you to eat it all, at the table, as he watches it.
“Come, now. You are too skinny for my taste. Open up! I made it with love!”
And you pretty sure won't leave the table until you finish it.
If you try to stand up and leave.
Well, Lycanroc is here to put you back where you "belong".
So now you are back at the table with a plate of food in your front, a wolf pokémon by your right, and a big between angry and crying man on your left.
“Don't make this so hard! You used to love this before! What's up with you? Are you really that mad at me?!"
And although she is not exactly "overcaring", Orla too can be a rock in your shoe sometimes.
At the same time you don't want to blame her for the questionable attitudes, after all, she spent a whole year in grief. Her behavior can be too much.
Most of the time she is busy, this airship won't fix itself after all, and there is always something breaking. But when she has free time, she would rather to spend it by your side.
Unlike Roy, who only tells you to not get into any danger and uses empty threats with his pokémon so you don't leave. Orla rathers NOT giving any chances for you to leave. You are by HER SIDE and that's final.
After all, you pretty much don't want to face that huge Metagross that can crush you in a second, do you?
You hear her talking, you are kinda forced to, since metagross is basically hovering around you in case you stop listening.
If you behave well, it's not that bad. You can drink some tea together, and perhaps getting out of the airship with her to go shopping, if she is in a very good mood!
“There you are! Don't tell me you forgot again that i have free time to spend with you!”
If you do somehow leave her side, she will get worried.
Why do you want to leave her?! Wasn't the lonliness she felt trough last year enough?
You shouldn't leave, not when she is recovering again.
“Please, stay...Just another hour, and i'll leave you alone.”
And even the pillar of the Rising Volt Tacklers is in this too.
Ever since he's back, Friede has become much more protective.
Everyone was used to Friede being protective of the crew, specially the children.
But with you specifically, this overprotection got more intense.
Often you see Charizard and (instructor) Starmie watching over you.
Sometimes it feels like it was you that fell off the airship and disappeared a whole year, not him.
And he seems to often discuss with the others about you.
“[Reader]'s been getting themselves into too many dangerous situations in my point of view. We shouldn't let them wander alone.” You overheard one day.
He feels he should compensate for the lost time too.
Come and sit down with your old friend, won't you? Tell him everything!
No, really, tell him every single thing you've been doing.
If you do say you went fine by your own this whole year, although he says he is proud. It weirdly bothers him.
You really didn't need him all this time, huh?
But it's okay! He's here and he shall prove himself useful to you! Why don't you do some activities you did before this whole problem existed, just the two of you?!
He might start doing things for you when you didn't even asked him to.
He is useful, even if he is not the leader anymore, please need him, NEED HIM!
“Eh? You feel bothered by me trying to do this for you? Sorry, i guess i just got used to doing this. And i...really want to be useful for you, still. You still need your big ol' Friede to help you out, right?”
You might notice that someone is missing on this list.

He's...pretty chill, actually.
Just don't let him see you trying to escape in some crazy way.
Or your clothes might be ruined by a hook gripping it and pulling you back home where you belong!
Maybe if the incident at Laqua didn't happen, these adventures would be good. You would feel truly happy to be with them again
But at this point...even you don't know anymore.
It's been long since i've written in this style and i need to remember them' old times! I'll try and catch up with the requests but not granting anything. Take this as a bit of a training. (Certainly not because i am hiperfixated in pokémon horizons, of course not...)
