♡ romantic headcanon
Romance... at least lasting romance, isn’t the sort of thing that she looks for. It isn’t as if she subscribes to that whole “Jedi can’t have relationships” philosophy— she doesn’t! But, she likes the thrill and adventure that accompanies being a Jedi. Which is why when lasting feelings take hold, it tends to take her by surprise. She is completely that trope of ‘the last one to know’. Everyone else is just staring in confusion, thinking, “If only you’d both stop bickering and kiss, we’d all live a little better!” At that point, when she realizes that is, she starts to squirm and torture herself... wondering if it’s worth it to say anything. Like, loving a Jedi isn’t easy, so if the person has a more...sedate lifestyle... and they seem more content, she’s gonna walk away.
Which is probably why her relationship with Kota ended up being so amusing. Koth can keep pace, and he has his own priorities and plenty of things that keep him occupied. So, when she went all quiet and stopped baiting him into squabbles or poking fun at him... he was like, “ha, you have a crush on me!” Which made her blush... which made him blush. And then they both made excuses that they needed to do something crucial on opposite sides of the ship, and Lin yelled, “oh come ON!” while Ken shook his head. They’ve been kinda soft with each other, still feeling things out and uncertain…but…they want to be tender with each other, so they’re trying to not be snippy. And it's honestly so freakin cute :3
☮ - friendship headcanon
I’d say the strongest and most obvious bonds that Irulanya makes are her friends. She cleaves to them so strongly, and once she’s your friend anything (outside of obvious betrayal) is allowed.
Faid’aiken was like, “so…I’m starting a new order” and she was like, “I’m in.”. He was like, “uhhh, there are empire folks here with me.” And she just said, “I ain’t afraid of no imps ;p”.
It would take a complete shift in attitude and goals, like… like, ‘I’ve decided I hate everything you love and want to kill it all’ sort of switch before she’d turn on a friend, and then that person would have earned a very cold and undaunted enemy. The same fervor of loyalty she displays to friends is employed in the determination she works with against her enemies.
☆ - happy headcanon
I wouldn’t say that she seeks out happiness… she does find happiness in simple things, of course, but she’s happiest when she’s exploring. I honestly think that if peace was established and there were no more conflicts, Irulanya would be happiest to simply explore planets and see each world’s environments, wildlife, flora, and cultures up close and personal. Heck, she could become a sort of anthropologist/explorer. Right now she’s pretty excited at the prospect of Koth showing her around Zakuul.
The whole relationship with Koth…it’s really new. At least, I feel like they’re both really new at this. I feel like…during the whole fight against Arcann, they weren’t really together. But then, by the time the alliance was finally facing off against Vaylin, they were…sort of together. So, while he does make her happy, it’s so new that she’s afraid to trust it.
