No joke, literally ATE
have you read the goddess wars? it's Greek myth based and I picked it up to see it and... I hated it (plot was ok it's just that) The mythos was all wrong,, the whole premise is that the gods are dying?? and are turning in to stuff based on their domains? (ares scars start bleeding and he'll bleed out? and hera's the bad guy? like really? Hera? my Queen deserves better SMH. and Posiden turned to a sea monster ig? it's implied He has lost his mind too and He eats His naiaids???) like it's just sad how much they miss -interpreted everything. idk I thought it would be fun to hear your thoughts on it if you read it.
I have not read it but damn- that is... Something...
Unfortunately Hera is a common villain for people writing Greek Mythos fanfiction. They don't care to understand Her motives as they were, or understand She's more than the myths, so she's the Evil Step Mom for them.
Most stories on the Greek Myths I read (or watch) make Hera the bad guy, Hercules (Disney) an exception which is wild.
But uh... That is something for the myths. I've not heard that one before.
As long as the books aren't claiming any level of accuracy I can usually just try to take it for what it is: stories using the names and basic realms of the Gods for entertainment. So it probably wouldn't bother me too much, but yeah that sounds wildly innacurately.
So yeah rewatching through Steven Universe with my friend and she says I am 100% A mix of Lapis and Peridot.
psst anxiety disorders qualify as ND
Oh that’s lovely
onE hundred pErCent accurate
Because apparently I’ve forsaken the plot of Haunt Your Murderers, I completely forgot I have a true psychopath surgeon character who dresses up as a plague doctor to torment young fallen women who have answered his marriage want ads in the paper...
Absolutely INSANE, and 100% true historical fact.
