I think I’ve made a post about this before, but it’s something that’s on my mind right now:
Daisy’s ending should have had something to do with the inhumans.
They literally set her up in season 2 to be their next leader, and the rights and protections for inhumans was something that she fought for and believed in so much in seasons 3 and 4.
And then by season 5 they just… had her stop?
Season 5, the show only treated inhumans and Daisy as tools. As a means to an end instead of actual people with emotions regarding the use of their powers and their heritage.
I feel like Daisy could have either rebuilt something like Afterlife or created some sort of program to keep inhumans safe. Not some sort of list like The Index or the Sokovia Accords (cause as we see in seasons 3 and 4, that made things so much worse) but something or someplace where Daisy knows she can keep her people safe.
Plus, to be honest, if I was Daisy, I wouldn’t want to go back to space after having been sold to slavery and tortured in space and then later traveling space for a year to find the man who essentially assaulted her and have to pretend that never happened. Yes I’m very still pretty about all of that. No I will never shut up about this because what do you mean they let him get away with it?
In this inhuman venture, I still believe Daniel and Kora would be by her side through all of it. Daniel, of course, being the guy who would support her through anything and was the only person to not invalidate her feelings and actually show genuine care for her. Kora, I have mixed feelings about her as a character overall, but as Daisy’s sister, she’s the last familial connection Daisy has, especially when it comes to their inhuman heritage, so I feel like they’d be able to take this on together.
Overall, I just wish season 7 gave Daisy the ending the show seemed to have been heading towards before turning her whole story around to being a soldier who uses her powers as a weapon more than a person celebrating and protecting her heritage and her people.
