but like y’all don’t understand, they’re shooting in the first dyke bar i ever went to, 19 years old and they wouldn’t let me stay even tho i wasn’t drinking but i took a matchbook and i kept it for ages! and then i went when i was finally 21, i was so damn excited and i don’t think i talked to anyone i didn’t come with but i was still thrilled af because DYKE BARS ARE IMPORTANT
they’ve renamed the bar to be more inclusive/queer which is wonderful <3 but it lives in my mind as my first real dyke bar
