I love accidental dad professor obi-wan because he's very modern in his neuroses but so in keeping with canon obi-wan (in all the most heartbreaking ways) which brings us to the question of: did KUWTKS obi-wan also have a weird childhood fraught with abandonment/Maybe I'm Not Good Enough issues? does anakin ever meet qui-gon? is it WEIRD when he does

yes!!! I haven’t thought much about Obi-Wan’s childhood but I do know he’s probably a latch-key kid or at the very least someone who wasn’t at all close to his parents. I want Qui-Gon here somehow.

Obi-Wan doesn’t have much family (mostly because I wanted to use Jedi names as his fellow professors lets be real)

But I love the idea that Anakin has to meet Qui-Gon with the twins probably and Obi-Wan is like super embarrassed because Qui-Gon is such a hippie and Obi-Wan is such an uptight professor.

And the twins just love him, obviously which absolutely boggles Obi-Wan’s mind because he loved Qui-Gon obviously, but Qui-Gon was also sort of an absent-minded parental figure which is fine as a grandfather but Obi-Wan does have some issues to work through now that Qui-Gon wants to be a part of the twins’ lives because he wasn’t there as solidly for Obi-Wan? And it’s fine. It’s fine. It’s really fine. Obi-Wan’s fine with it. Yeah. Yeah. Really. Yeah.

This fandom seems to ignore the fact that Branch and Poppy are already together by the time the Holiday Special takes place.

I mean, just the way they are introduce gives that away pretty quickly.

He's just there, probably at her house, with no explanation or complain from either of them. he's just hanging out there and it's treated like the most casual of things. And Poppy's just, "Look, sweetie. We got another weird postcard from our friends. Let's hang it with the rest that were clearly send to both of us. Hmm? What's that? You're about to barf! Ok, no problem i'll - No? You just want to find your smile. That's so nice. Let me help you."

And then; Poppy's - at wee hours of the morning- at his bunker. And. He doesn't even care? Doesn't complain aside from her giving him a little scare. Branch simply collects his bearings and rolls with it. "Morning, honey. I take you didn't sleep at all. That's fine. We're fine - even though you're taking my coffee away from me - go ahead with your crazy plan, i'm listening."

Like, their interactions are so casually domestic and I'M LIVING FOR IT! (Domestical life is my whole aesthetic)

She even makes them wear couple's costumes, people! And the first thing she does before executing anything else in her plan, is searching him out.

During the presentation he tries, ever so gently, to help her see that the bergens are not comfortable with her pitching. He even asks for a time-out so he can talk to Poppy in private.

The face he makes once he sees Poppy devastatingly crying.

Branch asking their friends for some space, because he wants to comfort her alone. And they all silently obliged. None of them interrupted during the whole thing. Like, they all know if there's anyone who can successfully comfort Poppy is Branch. As well as helping her come to her senses, but in a subtle gentle way. (I know they cut the song short and i can see why, but it would have been great to hear Branch singing that he loves Poppy again, but oh, well)

When Branch finds a smile that suits him, Poppy is so supportive and is incredibly happy for him. Is adorable.
