- hungarian as in born in budapest grew up in budapest still living in budapest. i'm not american i'm from hungary and i live in hungary for the love of god the next person to assume i'm american owes me 5000 forint aka 2 cents

i watch a LOT of shows. my mission is to watch (or rule out) every single show that has gay people in it. most of them are, it turns out, quite bad. but i can recommend some good ones noone's ever heard of. pspspsps

i have a lot of opinions on dr who and any and all holmes&watson media. those have been reoccurring guests on this blog since i made it and i'll probably be posting abt them til the sun blows up

reaching that stage of grief that makes you put the characters in hungarian clothes. extra coat options on the side + some notes under the cut<3

this isn't really an "i think they'd wear this" this is more of a "my somewhat ok guess at what would happen if they were forced to wear hungarian villager/shepherd clothes"

except for the kaláris (necklace crowley's wearing) that one's purely self indulgent coz i thought it would be really funny. the type he's wearing is for young single women who are trying to get laid. good luck champ

don't overthink that or the flowers, for understandable reasons most traditional symbolism doesn't account for gay men but i can work with that. and by work with that i mean put him in whatever i think is funniest coz this is my world

agonised over how to do the sunglasses before realising i can just make them the shape of the hungarian crown but upside down. thus the little crosses at the bottom

traditionally hungarian men tended to have long hair (common today too) and everyone regardless of gender wears their hair in braids (usually two), broke my heart to keep aziraphale shorn but he would not grow his hair out for anything

i kept debating which coat to put aziraphale in coz he would look sickening in all of them but the simple fluffy wool seemed the best. put the other options next to him tho coz he'd rock all of them

crowley is wearing 3 layers but not a coat so i put 2 coats next to him that i think would've been fun, he's less juhász more daliás vitéz (in looks only. neither of them are doing any physical work under any circumstance)

thing is i don't even mind sad endings. literally almost all my favourite shows (all of which are abt gay people) are miserable and sad and most of them end in tragedy or death and that's fine i enjoy it coz that's the story being told. but spending a book and then 2 seasons with a story that has you feeling safe in the knowledge that even if things go wrong, you're guaranteed that at least the ending will be fine, that no matter how bad things get (whether in-universe or with the writing itself) at least there'll be a happy conclusion and then having that ripped away is so soul-crushing in a way i have never experienced before. this was always a story about protecting imperfect things and finding joy in a world built against you and reasons to keep going but suddenly i'm forced to watch these characters give up and kill everyone and themselves. and i'm being told this is the best thing for them and i should be happy that after a lifetime of fighting for happiness they choose to give up and die

celestia is such a funny character like she's constantly manipulating twilight and friends to do shit instead of just asking and you could arguably frame that as being bc she's a "god" and pushing fate to her design or whatever, except that she engages with the group like a normal and relatable person, which makes it more like villainous machinations, except 90% of this manipulation goes towards things like "I don't want my party to be boring shit again. put my little country girl blorbos in there with zero prep so they fuck it up bad"
