Regarding Ryan Eggold’s Fabulous TV interview and the outrage it caused
You know, it's not uncommon for the viewers to project hatred for the character on the actor who plays him. Of course no one would admit it because even the haters realize how stupid it is. But they would desperately try to find some faults in actors' personality, and as soon as they find anything, they will feel themselves justified in directing their hate for the character toward the actor.
Now anti-Tom people have excuse to bash Ryan Eggold. Apparently he "acts as if he is the boss of the show" and "overestimates his importance" for merely suggesting that King James and Megan Boone can guest-star on the spinoff of their own show. Some even said that after this highly offensive interview they find themselves unable to separate Ryan from Tom. You just can see how they blow everything Eggold said out of proportion in order to justify their irrational hate. Now they don't feel like they aren't bashing him because of his role, nope, they are punishing him for being self-important.
