can i speak MY truth (emphasis on my bc i know this is an unpopular opinion), but i do not understand the manon and dorian hype in the fandom. I agree that their flirting in Queen of Shaodws was hot and fun, and their sexy time in Empire of Storms was cool as well. But I just don’t see a true emotional connection from either of them, honestly from Dorian’s side, the relationship feels like a cry for help after everything that he went through. I say this as a DorianxSorscha truther (please be nice) so maybe my judgement is clouded, but even for Manon she is not giving up her newfound witchalnds and family that she gained at the end of KOA after loosing the Thirteen like???? Equally so, Dorian wouldn’t leave Adarlan and his friendship with Chaol, which I believe is more meaningful to him.

And the people who romanticise them to the point of getting married and potentially having children freak me out I’m so sorry that’s not happening. Their ‘relationship’ was a two-sided trauma response that dies out after KOA.

But I am open-minded, so please feel free to share your perspective on their relationship in the comments (be kind about it plz)
