Ugh I can't lose weight no matter what I do. I think maybe I need to start high restring again (probably also eating more protein) but I'm scared I'll just make myself miserable 😔

I haven’t listened to the new Fiona Apple even though I like what I’ve heard of her stuff but that one post that’s all out implying Fiona Apple is Real Mental Illness music in comparison to like Mitski is actually quite racist lol. Like I don’t know op’s situation and I’m white so I’m not going to assume it was made with malign intent but the statement itself is like incredibly disrespectful of Mitski’s very real trauma and experiences that she puts into her work which is why her music IS so universal on this website...
but I think that universality gets taken advantage of and diluted by a white indie audience because as much as they are relatable there is a lot to be said about why she chose the BTC narrative of a woman who is at the mercy of a narrative, about having this internalised anger and madness that comes out only in little bits because she has to be good and proper, her implied relationship with her appearance and body throughout her songs that cannot be separated from her experience as a Japanese woman etcetera (like Nobody is very relatable! Esp about the idea of changing what your body is just to get some love only to get rejected again and again! But like... Mitski’s body has a different relationship to the world than a white woman’s, and she communicates that very poignantly)... most obvious to me is Your Best American Girl which we can all pretend is just about being ~unloveable~ but is very on the nose about how how race affects her life including if not especially her relationships which in turn impacts her mental health... so like. To have her work disrespected in place or comparison to white women (I think it mentioned Bjork as well in the post with the implication it’s even More Mentally Ill Music) and their mental health as if Mitski’s portrayal of mental health is somehow shallow or fake even if it’s just because she’s #mainstream now or whatever............. like it doesn’t look good! It’s not a particularly hot take! I dare say it’s freezing!
Okay but why is this boy liking other girls selfies when I'm the one he wants... the level of disrespect....
