Ok, I'm about to go to bed for real this time, but now I'm rethinking the order of my rewrite fic (that I've been working on for years)

I seriously want to delete season 3. Not everything, but I'm debating mashing the concepts of season 3 with season 4.

I think I have an idea how to do that.

I'm thinking Joyce moves away after season 2. Not all the way to California though. I'm thinking somewhere closer. Like Chicago.

A LOT would have to change. The Hopper/Byers won't be a family yet and stuff like that, but I have some ideas.

I am most certainly erasing season 3 Hopper from existence. Instead, I think I will write Hopper finding every excuse in the book to "check in" on the Byers. Whether that's a phone call or even if he "happens to have business" in Chicago for work. Supposedly. Obviously, he'd take El with him. That would give me space to develop El with the Byers a little more

For the season itself, I may write this as a summer trip. I was debating having them all going to visit Will, but that's too much. Instead, I will have Will visiting Hawkins. This I think is perfect, almost as if he's very presence makes the supernatural stir again

One thing that disappointed me about season 3 was them claiming some inspiration from The Thing. The best part of The Thing was NOT knowing who was changed and who wasn't. So I'll be using that way more

I really don't want to write the soviets. Or at the very least, there will not be a soviet base under the mall. But, I will write some kind of soviet presence in Hawkins.

Where I start mixing it with season 4 is the US government getting involved, pushing past Owen's authority over Hawkins and causing issues.

I know I need to involve a gate opening somehow and the giant rift and all that, but I can decide that in a week once Stranger Things is finally over

MONTY X BELLAMY 

It starts off with this annoyance and Monty being more than furious with how Bellamy put a timeline on Jasper’s life when he was suffering, Asshole. 

But then Jasper’s alive and Monty is alright with Bellamy and then - then he has to walk away when they start to string up Murphy. 

It starts off with disgust. 

And then, mutual working together. 

Bellamy seems to value him as a person and Monty feels a blush high on his cheeks when Bellamy says stuff like, “holy shit, you’re brilliant.” with this awe-filled tone or “Monty, you’re incredible.” 

It’s just working together, Monty tries to tell himself. 

( Jasper teases him at the beginning that he has a praise kink )

And then - six years. 

Bellamy and Monty had six years together in space (try and deny to me that all of Spacekru fucked at some point, I won’t believe you) and all they became was closer and more into one another. 

Monty’s peace, Bellamy’s growing levelheadedness, Monty’s warm heart, Bellamy’s loving nature. 

They fall into each other pretty easily.
