John Dory, when he discovers the egg, and no, his first reaction wasn't panic. It was happiness, because for a second all that went through his mind was that he had an egg with the person he loved most.
That is, until reality set in, until he remembered everything he had done, what had happened, and where he was.
He had an egg inside a cage.
He would have a child that would be born to die.
After that? Pure panic at having no idea what to do, how he could do it.
That was the scary part.
I want to show what it's like to have a second person involved in this response. And to have no idea how to break news that would change your lives to her
An egg that appeared without warning.
And that's exactly what I want to show in "with every beat of your wounded heart"
I feel we haven't yet delved deep enough into what it would be like if "John Dory were Branch's father," let alone what it would be like if we had a third person involved
So I'm doing the development I'm looking for myself :)
