I think it would be immensely funny for the people cleaning up the Ishimura in-between Dead Space 1 & 2 to find Isaac's base of operations on the Ishimura, only to find several mining tools that had been illegally modified to be as lethal as possible.

I'm aware you find these upgrades during the course of the game, however, Isaac is also shown to be able to make a plasma cutter out of a fucking flashlight, some duct tape, and a surgical plasma laser.

That man 100% is making his tools horrifically efficient at cutting off human limbs that have been reinforced. Which honestly makes me wonder what the reactions were to finding Isaac's arsenal that he cooked up in like 48 hours tops.

Dude could probably be given scrap metal, a battery and electricians tape and make a weapon out of it.
