rain (im a trashcan)
kind of a follow up...
Like everything else, rain was not meant to last forever. The wind slowed down and the sun came out before the power returned, and the boys were stir crazy to the point where anything was better than another minute in the stuffy motel room.
It was still raining, even if it wasn't the storm of the night before, and Stiles couldn't stop the wet dog comment that slipped out, not that he really tried all that had. The resulting shove and wrestle that came from the joke ended with the two of them against the side of the building, laughing breathlessly. Water was dripping from Isaac's curls and sliding down his cheeks, and if Stiles was staring, well, he figured he was allowed to, at this point.
"What's the look for?" the taller boy asked, wiping at his face self-consciously.
Really, Stiles had to kiss him. What other kind of response was there?
Im mobile but the cuddling in a blanket fort one
♘: Cuddling in a blanket fort
It was storming outside, the power having gone out an hour ago with not even a flicker from the lights since. It was too bad to leave the motel room, but there was nothing to do inside either, and Stiles' boredom was quickly growing on even his own nerves.
Isaac had been the one to suggest the fort, with some mutterings about his brother than Stiles had pretended he hadn’t heard, and the two had gotten to work, pulling blankets and pillows from both beds and the ratty cushions from the couch against the wall.
It was no great beauty, but the two settled inside of it proudly anyway. They’d started on opposite sides, just facing each other and passing a Gatorade back and forth as they talked about the classes they were taking at the high school, how different it was from Beacon Hills high and how much they weren’t missing Coach.
Isaac kissed him first this time, hesitant presses of lips against lips turning into a more frantic tangle of limbs until they were spooning comfortably under the blankets, Stiles’ complaints about being little spoon half-hearted and falling on deaf ears, the pair of them already half asleep and more than content; happy.

♥: A kiss on your lips.
It was like a thing for Stiles, apparently, for all the kisses in his life to come without any build. One minute, a teasing argument they’re having just for the sake of arguing, because that’s their thing. Kisses are not their thing, not yet. He wanted to be readier than this.
He doesn’t really remember who leaned in first, but he knows Isaac pulled away before him. And the only way to respond to that is with panic or sass, so he chooses quickly, wrapping his fingers up in the hem of the taller boys shirt. “Don’t make it weird, Lahey.”

Stiles wasn't nervous. It was stupid to be nervous, this whole thing was stupid, now that he really thought about it. He was waiting to find out it was all an elaborate prank, or another dream he hadn't managed to wake up from (and if Isaac knew he thought this was a dream...just when things couldn't get worse) and it was like an itch that he couldn't scratch. He wanted to get the whole evening over with just to prove he could survive it, but that didn't stop the part of him that honestly was nervous, and excited, and even scared. As past experiences had pointed out to him, dating was not his forte. And despite the hell around them, despite the fact that it was Isaac, Stiles really wanted this to go well.
So maybe he'd actually taken Lydia's assorted advice over the months into consideration when he got dressed. Maybe he actually did more than run his fingers through his hair and call it a day in front of the mirror. It wasn't a crime to look good. He didn't have much to work with, and he didn't want to be a complete train wreck. Figuring he was as put together as he was going to get, he fell back against the motel bed and sighed loudly. "This is stupid."
